Crass's symbol has turned up in a Wiltshire crop circle.
www.youtube.com...
This symbol was used from 1977 till 1984 by Crass and could often be spotted stencilled through out the London underground tube system and on walls during this time period.

So what does this mean ?

two thing i can think of on the top of my head. One the aliens are using a familiar symbol in our history to make us comortable s they can speak to use. Two, some guy made crop circle of first thing that came to his mind.

There was a summer solstice "festival" thing at Stonehenge a few nights back wasn't there?
Maybe some drunkards had some free time?

... Not to discredit aliens.

Yes this band really meant business. Anyway Wiki says Crass amalgamated several icons of authority to create this symbol, including the Christian Cross, swastika and Union Flag.

It was designed by David King for the cover of a booklet by Penny Rimbaud (Crass Drummer) called 'Christ's Reality Asylum' before he formed Crass with Steve Ignorant. Crass used that logo along with the circled A and the CND logo (known as the 'peace symbol' in the US).

I used to follow Crass back in the day, been to many gigs, stood side by side with Steve Igs at the London Stop the City protest. My political claim to fame lol.

I've been into CRASS since the early 80's.
CONFLICT used the CND symbol.
These bands, along with Discharge, The Exploited, The Subhumans, etc, really had an influence on me, musically in my band, and just the anti-product mentality.

But a crop circle of the Crass symbol, seems it would be fake(not ET made).

Gotta admit that's a band I've never heard of. Not too many American punk/anarcho bands made it over to the UK, they had a habit of not being allowed to enter the country.

I drove the van for Conflict on one of their tours, '85 if I remember. They didn't really practice what they preached though. Those were some wild gigs, unlike Crass they did not avoid trouble, I remember Colin chasing a bunch of skins with a huge knife, and at another gig smashing the windows of a bus (coach) a bunch of skins came on with a baseball bat.

Colin used to be a skinhead, and so did Steve Igs. That was before skins became right wing and racist. Skins in the 80's were a different animal altogether, you can blame the National Front and the British Movement (now the National Socialists Movement, that are ironically fascist not socialist, they basically named themselves after the Nazi party) for that.

ENT= Extream noise terror, they were from the UK as well. but they were apart of the second wave of 80s uk hardcore and more assiociated with the naplm death/ear ache records crew. i know all bout the skins orgins in the reggae and mod scene. hung out with pleanty of sharps in the states. shame skins get such a bad wrap from a few iddiots getting wraped up in stupid bull#. also staying out of troubble is a good idea. sometimes you cant help it being a punk or a skin but that # catches up to you quick. see to many violent epsiodes with racists assholes and friends beat or hurt very badly. still nice to crack a facists head in every ounce in a while
