Obama is a bad president because he lacks leadership ability and has no vision.

I have pointed out in other threads that Obama has done nothing as President, and some have challenged this with his few actual “successes” he has gotten such as health care.

I point out to them that Obama himself didn’t even write his own health care bill; he wasted months in waiting for the congress to write the bill and fight over it, therefore illustrating his lack of leadership and vision as president. Indeed, this example of his laziness, in not coming up with his own plan, as a true leader would, is a proof that he is a bad leader without vision.

Lets look at other presidents who have demonstrated leadership:

In the 50’s England, France, and Israel invaded Egypt, President Eisenhower, as leader of the western world, demanded that those countries cease and desist! Obama on the other hand folded and displayed his usual lack of leadership and eventually went along with the illegal and immoral attack on Libya in being persuaded by Hillary Clinton and NATO to attack Libya. In this case, if Obama was any kind of real leader he would have NEVER went along with this, and as the courageous Eisenhower did, Obama should have refused to initiate the Libyan attack and order NATO to cease and desist.

Lyndon Johnson, in a turbulent era of racism, used his powerful position as president and against all odds got civil rights bills passed in congress in the 60’s BY FIGHTING FOR THOSE BILLS! That is an example of a president using his leadership capacity and vision. Something the weak-willed Obama has yet to demonstrate to any degree. For example, the health care bill could have had a public option, but Obama, the weakling that he is, refused to fight for it by using his position as president to persuade the few democrats to go along with it so it could be a part of the bill. A strong leader would have done that. [Now either he is weak, or secretly didnt want the public option and made a deal with the PTB.]

Democratic president Harry Truman in the 50’s when he had a republican congress, didn’t let that stop him from being a leader. Indeed, he used the presidential bully-pulpit to embarrass the republican congress when he went to the public and labeled them as a”do nothing congress.”

FDR, in the 30’s and 40’s use to go about haranguing the greedy capitalists and conservatives who wouldn’t go along with the New Deal. And for that, fighting for the people, he was elected to 4 terms as President!

Obama, on the other hand has only folded like a cheap camera every time conflict arises with his republican political enemies. This weakling had a democratic senate and the congress and all he did was get a flimsy half-ass health care bill through, and a very watered down stimulus package and a useless financial reform bill.

Obama just doesn’t have the courage and strength to be a real leader, and eventhough one must at times compromise, often times a leader has to fight for what he wants and draw a line in the sand. Obama NEVER fights for anything but compromise. He can’t just sit back and fold everytime the opposition screams at him. Indeed, I predict that in the present conflict over raising the budget ceiling Obama will fold, as he did earlier and allowed for the continuation of tax cuts for the rich.

I have nothing against Obama as a human being, but to me all I see when I turn on the tv and hear about him, he is either picking sports brackets or flying across the world like he is using his term as a vacation as president.

My favorite president in the last few has been Clinton. Those were the good ol' days.

Ron Paul will probably be Americas only hope for REAL CHANGE before everything goes down the drain.

All of the other KNUCKLEHEADS candidates for the next election will just continue this downward spiral into hell. It will be politics as USUAL folks if we continue this madness.

We need a new breed of politician in the White House. One who finally has Americas BEST INTERESTS in mind.

I've had it with BUMS in that office already!!!!

I agree man, sadly thats prolly why he won't win. I am voting for him though.

When I seen your avatar it again reminded me of the good ol' days with Clinton and Beavis and Butthead, those were clearly the best of days!

As much as I agree , I think people were expecting too much, he came in at a difficult time had two years to bring change and two years as a lame duck president, I guess it would have been interesting to see how things would have turned out under a Mccain/Palin leadership.
Would the economy still be in a mess? Probably, would America still be involved in wars? Probably. The only difference would be liberals playing the underdogs instead of the conservatives.

He was given full power with congress on his side. What did we get after 2 or 3 years? Worrying about jobs if we still have them and worrying that our entire nation will default on our debt because they didn't worry about it when they were spending money like crazy 2 years ago. At least I think some new members of congress are worrying about it. I don't think Obama and the democrats are as concerned. I believe Obama just wants to raise taxes and increase spending more. Obama did help create a new party called the taxed enough already party which some people call the tea party. Maybe he wants to claim that as his legacy, he helped spawn a new political party. After all any president who takes $3 of our tax money and spends it and puts $1 of it back into the economy to boost jobs must know what he is doing. (sarcastic here) I and every ordinary American knows that the economy grows better if the people get to keep more of their money rather than the government taking it all or threatening to take more with unknown health care tax increases, energy tax increases, etc. etc.

If we canceled the health care changes which will include big tax increases, and stop threatening new energy tax increases, etc. this economy of ours might actually start growing. Of course we would need a leader to enact spending control in Congress and the White House who understands the word budget. We would need someone who understands what a bad credit rating means if you don't pay your bills on time. It means a lot higher interest rates because your country is deemed not as credit worthy. Unfortunately many people act the same way as Congress and the White House so I don't know if the elected leaders we have and many in this country care or not. I know I care enough to pay my bills on time. If I was president, I would have already scheduled a meeting with the House and democratic leaders to iron out a deal. If we reached an impasse, I would have taken my case to the people for support. If the people did not support tax increases like Obama wants on the rich, then I would not seek them until after 2012.

Lol, I have the Obama compromise Republicans may be seeking. Let's compromise and increase taxes on the rich starting in 2014 but make that part of the budget something that can be easily repealed after 2012 with a vote by the new congress and sign off by the new president. If Obama is still president he can sign off on it. If not, no tax increases. He put off all the health care tax increases until 2014 so that people might support the changes. Tax and spend is all he seems to know about.

I believe Obama forgot that the democrats lost badly in the last congressional election. The people of this country are very dissatisfied with his job performance on the economy. He needs to let the Republicans forge a budget deal and go along with it. It is what he is good at, going along with others. Hopefully he understands this needs to be done real soon.

I agree with you on that point. McCain would have not been a very good choice for president. We need a president who understands economics and he himself said he did not.

I hope we have better choices in the next election and that our economy is not a whole lot worse by then. I suspect congress will make some small deal and pass the buck until after 2012.

Why is he a bad President? That's simple:

He is a megalomaniac.
He has the economic sense of Daffy Duck.
He is a mass-murderer.

Those alone require a permanent removal.

You have written what I have been thinking....President Obama inherited an awful mess left for him to wade through from the past President. I personally do not feel good about any of the proposed candidates for the next election. I am hoping someone will arrive that I can believe in again.

Yes, we all know that McCain/Palin would have TURNED THIS COUNTY AROUND! these problems started with Obama, and he promised to end all wars forever and said we would all have satisfying jobs and sex lives and free viagra for everyone but they were all lies! Vote GOP for real change!

It started with Woodrow Wilson, and has been perpetuated since then. Each one had a chance to stop it, but didn't. Obama ran on a platform of Hope and Change™. I know I hoped he'd change everything. But he's just the same potentate as the others.

He never had any intention changing the status quo. So he's exactly, precisely as culpable as the others mass murderers.

He is a pony!

Wait, sorry. Wrong equine.

So you don't think three years is long enough to effect even a smidgen of change? A teensy bit? Well, change other than killing more citizens of sovereign nations instead of less. Now that's change we can bereave!

Well, what specifically do you think he was promising to change that he hasn't? That might be a constructive place to start substantive critique instead of attacking a campaign slogan.

Promises that he hasn't kept? That would be negativity, and I want a positive spin on our debate! So I'll give you a promise he kept as a talking point: to send 30,000 more troops into Afghanistan. He kept a promise to kill more brown humans, to tear apart more U.S. families, to spend more of your U.S. dollars, and install a new government in a sovereign nation.

There's a positive change he made, and a promise kept! Go!

Hmmmm... Im starting to think you might be trying to avoid my very simple and straight-forward line of questioning.

But you bring up a great point, nonetheless. He campaigned on sending more troops into Afghanistan, and yet one of the criticisms republicans-in-hiding enjoy leveling at him is that he 'lied' about 'ending war'. Just one more example of the baseless, substance-less critiques from the hyper partisan former Bush supporting Republicans-in-hiding who now pretend to be Ron Paul supporting Libertarians.

I love when people bring up the "socialist' argument.... It's so much crap.

Listen, I am not crazy about Obama either, but if you want do not like socialism, then you better pull your children out of public school, Never go to the public library, Never ever receive or send any kind of mail through the USPS Stop paying your taxes, because you are paying those horrible teachers.

Yep, if you do any of that, you support socialism.... way to go, Junior.
