the night after the eclipse

then, on 19.6.11
a very heavy wind woke me this morning

driving to Pomona early morning
we discussed a twister
that must have hit our area

not much later
we missed a fallen tree
a little monster
half invisible to the last moment
laying across the other lane totally
and half of our lane

turning the wheel quickly
dangerously
we missed by not much
coping a huge scratch on the side of the car

the storm stopped
the further we drove

on the way back
we were discussing
strange clouds in the sky

we talked about that tree
that would be now across our lane

we looked at the mysterious clouds again
like mini twisters in appearance
we looked around in the sky
definitely we were in that stormy stretch again
we pulled the car over to take better photos

and there it was
right in front of us
that half invisible tree
dangerously across the road

it must have lain there for a few hours by now
massive, before we attacked it

as soon as we stopped there were 3 cars around us
stopping to help
one of them happened to be a tree lopper
and of course had his chain saw with him
in no time the road was safe again

i’m thinking of this intense moment we had lived trough
full with blessings

and i’m thinking of this amazing thread i had read
last night on ATS
