Things don't need to start in Canada first for America to "do their thing." What has Canada ever started? They're just the 51st state, after all.

At least we can afford to drink your Canadian beer (even though we don't) cuz it's so higly taxed in your country how do you afford it? Oh, that's right that's how you get your socialized medical care.

I am going to use this as a starting point to address your naivete. The so called "war on terror" has perfectly illustrated how naive you are. A one world government will not put an end to all war on Earth, it will change from wars against nations to a perpetual war against individuals, and individualism. This is a war all ready being fought. Your vision of federalism extended to the world will only strengthen an existing federal government and their ever quest for the aggregation of power.

When one reads the Federalist Papers, the argument is made by Alexander Hamilton, John Jay and James Madison that Federalism will not impede the sovereignty of the states. A Civil War and several depressions later, we know better. Several states are all ready in a political fight with the federal government over the issue of sovereignty. This, however, is a battle between states rights versus federal rights, and this battle is undeniably being fought, but beyond the sovereignty of the state, there is the sovereignty of the people. In this regard, and lets be sure to clarify this, the people means individuals and the state means a collection of those individuals.

When terms such as "domestic terrorist" or "homegrown terrorist" are bandied about with the ease they are by federal agents today, the war on the individual is undeniable.

The United States federal government has a long history of trampling all over the rights of both the states, and more importantly the individual. Federalism is just another form of government and if that federalism has no regard for the law, then your naive belief that peace on Earth will be the result of a world federal government will slap you rudely in the face at some point.

It is not government that makes people free, and arguably governments impede freedom. Until all people everywhere come to understand that natural and unalienable rights are law...real law not legislation, and acting against these rights is a criminal act unacceptable in any situation, then there will be no peace.
