"Government-Sponsored Racism.. Slavery.." Cop says About Chicago Pro Gun Ruling

The pervasion of illegal guns in America's black and Latino communities is a result of "government-sponsored racism," akin to "slavery, segregation, black codes [and] Jim Crow," Rahm Emanuel's new police chief, Garry McCarthy, told parishioners at St. Sabina's Church earlier this month....."Now I want you to connect one more dot on that chain of the African American history in this country, and tell me if I’m crazy: Federal gun laws that facilitate the flow of illegal firearms, into our urban centers across this country, that are killing our black and brown children," he said.

And yet now a giant guilt trip angle. Man says hes not afraid to talk race but he fails to address why blacks kill each other with such apparent ease. And at that a race that is known for calling each other "brother".

Top Cop goes on to blame others even bringing in the class issue i.e. the gun makers are "rich and living in gated communities." But at no time has he really addressed this as a black cultural issue.

Others are saying that the strict gun laws have been at the root of this problem.

Gun Bans Kill Black People

Though advocates of equal justice and freedom should celebrate the McDonald ruling, politicians are already plotting to hedge against it. The Chicago Sun-Times reported Monday that Mayor Richard Daley wants to require extensive training for gun owners, frequent firearms registration, recurring criminal background checks and a possible insurance requirement for gun owners. He'll make it too expensive for average citizens to keep and bear arms. Poll taxes made it too expensive for minorities to vote, but the 14th Amendment ultimately prevailed.

This is a good read. It talks about the late U.S. Supreme Court action against Chicago's gun laws....as maybe racist.

The U.S. Supreme Court may have finally ended illegal gun control. The court voted 5-4 against Chicago's ban, giving clear direction to lower courts that had deferred gun ban challenges to the high court. In short order, the Chicago ban and others like it should go the way of Jim Crow laws......If it seems gauche to compare gun bans with segregation, it's only because Jim Crow laws are remembered in terms of separate drinking fountains and the like. Yet the most ominous Crow laws outlawed guns — for black people. Much of the Supreme Court's decision Monday in McDonald v. Chicago was based on racial considerations and concerns about the routine murders of disarmed blacks.

i've noticed there is a weekly smoke & mirrors smoke cloud from politicians aimed at pissing off legitimate firearms owners in the USA. every week without fail. i think its part of the great distraction to keep people from focusing on larger issues of debt, war etcetera.

legitimate firearms owners in the USA are for the most part very responsible with the use/handling/storage of their weapons. there is no need to make life more difficult for these people.

if the Clowns of Washington DC really gave a damn about unlicensed street crime firearms they would close the loops where guns are still easily available. most of us read the same news, it's no mystery where to go to drop cash on the counter and buy cheap steel.

TPTB have no problem with people killing each other on the street. just another piece of the divide and conquer puzzle to keep people from unifying. our 'fearless leaders' well know their heads would be on pikes in short time if Americans banded together to eliminate the True Evil: the politicians who put it all in motion.

As if the gun makers are dumping large boxes of guns off along the street and then running back home and locking the gate saying "hay lets just set back and watch the blacks kill each other". Maybe the guns are just jumping out of the box and shooting folks all by themselves.

One of the main factors here is drugs. But the drug thing is just to large to go after so they go after the constitution. This looks like the anti gun folks riding on the back of a social problem that they have otherwise done little about. Had gun control been part of a larger effort to stop the killing some measure of understanding could be given here but it hasnt been. So no I am not seeing anything here but more effort to attack the constitution.

They would have better luck putting a stop to the killing by attacking gangster music and its part in the development of a culture of homicide. Guns are not the driver here. This culture is driven by the preachers of distruction, tossing money around and glorifying gang life.

Not to mention the long term brainwashing that its someone elses fault.

The problem is they dont have to buy those guns....and they dont have to pull that triger.

We had a figure here localy. Cops said that 80%+ guns used in murders, gang related, are stolen anyway. This culture feeds itself and loves the food.

A person would certainly be a fool to understand their guns rights according to what goes on in the inner city. Save for those that want to protect self.

Two friend are from Chicago and they left years ago for a place they could own guns for self defence.

The only way to ever cut crime in Chicago would be to enact gun laws like they have in Texas or Az,

There may be a few more dead criminals for a year or to but then the criminals would learn or die.

The only thing criminals fear is the armed home owner or the unknown CCW holder.
