Next I would have to say 'why would I bother" and I would never bother and why? because anyone who posts anything positive would have to wade through a poop storm of the most nonsensical BS imaginable. If it isn't the birth certificate issue and all its myriad sub issues, its NWO agendas or the fearmongering over healthcare and socialism.

In the end no supporter of Obama has to say a word because the detractors end up just sounding so out of touch, that they validate a supporters point of view.

Right!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are sites that do list everything Obama has accomplished.

Why would I waste my time posting anything positive about Obama here?

I don't waste my time discussing politics on ATS.

The left right paradigm is a fraud, pure and simple. Please, please, please understand that. This country was bought and paid for a long time ago. These arguments add up to nothing more than "my dad can beat up your dad" arguments in first grade. Take a deep breath, get beyond the illusion.

Im sorry to hear what happened. I agree with you about the whole system being messed up and how outsourceing led to the housing problem. Republican and Dems are basically the same. I just find the Dems to be the lesser of two evils.

David Crosby said a choice between two evils is still choosing evil. They are exactly the same. no difference.

Carrol Quigley, Bill Clinton's Mentor at Georgetown, verifies this himself in a passage from his book Tragedy and Hope:

The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies, one, perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to the doctrinaire and academic thinkers. Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can "throw the rascals out" at any election without leading to any profound or extreme shifts in policy.

Dude, we are in such dept because of 10 year + of republican rule and insane tax cuts for the "rich" during multiple wars.

This kind of statement is exactly what starts disinformation for the truly uneducated population. I would like to know where you get your information from only for the reason to find humorous fiction to read while I take a break from real issues.

And illiterates buy into this crap.

Can't argue with you on this one, although I know you're talking about a different group of people than I am.

i hate to burst peoples bubbles here but outsourcing did not lead to the housing crisis.

the creation of fanny and freddy and dodds and franks over manipluation and the over manipulation of guaranteed government mortgages led to that bubble bursting.

when you get down to the bones of any crisis in this country or the world you can bet your us government is the instigator and creator and what is their solutions?

create more government control.

meh

Entitlements is getting something for nothing.

I've paid, still pay for what I receive. In terms of my service; I pay. In terms of my taxes; I pay.

But I ask for nothing that I haven't earned or worked hard to get.

Right. You paid your taxes, but no one else did.

They are all lazy bums, but you are ENTITLED to your welfare.

I am an unabashed Obama supporter, have been since he was running for Senator.

I don't talk about it much because I feel its poor form to discuss such things.

I'll say something, then you'll get snippy, then I'll get an attitude, until pretty soon, we're both pissed, and still believe what we originally believed.

Seems kind of futile.

I am no political science expert, but he's alot better than the fourth Stooge who held the office before him...

I think any sitting President is going to be the whipping boy of the outraged, Mr. Obama is no different.

So, have your fun, say what you want, but the man has shown nothing but class since he took the Office.

No, it did not lead to the housing crisis, but it was a contributing factor, albeit a small one. The majority of the crisis was due to ARMS + predatory lending + the repeal of Glass-Steagall.

The offshoring of manufacturing jobs was only a factor relevant to my personal situation, and to others who were part of the manufacturing industry that also lost their homes, but were AAA rated mortgage loans before hand, not high risk like 90% of the defaults...

Hahahaha... now that's rich. Better than the last guy huh??? What has improved since the last prez??? I'll be waiting to hear your response on that one.
Oh, and remember how all you bleeding hearts were calling Bush a warmonger??? Obama must be a F++king killing machine compared to him.

McCain campaigned on nationalist propaganda, trying to convince people of all the same rhetoric Bush spewed, with a joke of a running mate at his side. Obama spoke of change and was actually intelligent and inspiring to listen to. The choice was clear. I don't understand how anyone could have voted McCain on the last ticket.

Healthcare would have been awesome. Unfortunately FOX News spewed lies of a government take over and death panels. We could have had something great, something to be truly envious of, but instead Republicans chose to drive it right into the ground.

Obama has made decent progress considering the enormous pile of lies and the complete lack of cooperation by the Republicans. They are more interested in seeing him fail than helping to build the country. They are greed, oil, pollution, and blood, in political form. If the Sith Lords chose to form a poltiical party in the U.S. they would be a party built on fear, anger, aggression, hatred, with a constant desire for invasion, greed, and inequality. Sounds like the Republican base to me.

I would still vote Obama over any of those souless, backwards, unevolved Republicans.

Yeah... Health Care, that would have been awesome! Then you could have been like the Canadiens who travel to where.............. Oh yeah, the U.S.A. to get their medical care done right.

Maybe you should read the whole post.

Not just the first line.

Or practice your reading comprehension.

I never said I agreed with every single thing he's done, I am certainly non-plussed about the wars.

Really, I expect very little from what is generally in our modern era, a figure head, but what I do expect, Barack Hussein Obama has delivered.

Like a personality.

And Grammar.

And an ability to see that there is indeed more than one side of an issue.

Small things like that.

True. But for giggles, let's give Obama another award, maybe a Pulitzer? He already has the Nobel. Maybe that will spread some more hope and change.

I tell anyone that will listen to me about what our handlers are doing and no body cares. They keep us fighting each other, over silly nonsense that a 2nd grader can see through, all the while growing their empire of control over us. One day, just like in the movie "Ants", we will all get it and take back the control. Until then, we just get to laugh at the idiots that think their voting, message board and blog bitching, bumper stickering.... ahh, waste of typing, I'm done

Without veering this off topic, your comment is wildly inaccurate. Canadians are not flocking to the States for essential services, despite whatever skewed data youve read from teh Fraser Institute.

I've never understood that criticism. How is it Obama's fault that he was given the Nobel Peace Prize?

Well, OP, in your neck of the woods, maybe the Obama supporters are silent....but not in mine. I deal with them all the time in my circle.....

I try to point out the very non-existent line between the way our last administration did things and the way our current one operates, but people don't want to see that. Everyone is too embroiled in these bi-partisan arguments to see what's really happening here.

I see plenty of comments from people who are supportive of the Obama Administration.

What I DONT see are those people who were championing GW Bush and the Iraq war just a few short years back...

where'd THEY all go?

You're making no sense. You are inaccurate, and your initial premise is false. While that may make you look rather silly here on ATS, it WILL get you a good time slot on MSNBC.
