I support Obama, but I don't feel the need to praise him daily; where as those that dislike him seemingly feel the need to hate on him daily. It's just that simple.

Wrong again, Aggie Man. It's not hate. We just don't agree with his progressive policies. Why do you leftist progressives have to personalize things so much?

Tellyawhut. The moment you stop driving your car - built by a subsidized auto company, paid for by a subsidized bank loan, fueled with subsidized petroleum - on public roads protected by federal law and state and county law enforcement, THEN maybe you can gibber on about what freeloaders other people are. Until you start taking personal responsibility - refining your own gasoline from petroleum purchased on the open market to power an automobile you made with your own hands from the ore all the way up, to drive around only on property you yourself own - you've got no room to speak a word about others.

I sold my car, cancelled my insurance, got a bike. Granted, I didn't mine the metals out of the earth, refine them, mold them and weld them together myself with my homemade welding torch... I dropped out of college because I could no longer afford it, and did not want to take out gov. loans.

I am happy with my life.

Permission to "gibber on" sir?

It's a blame game. When Bush was in office, it was Bushs' fault 24/7.
Obama? Puppet. Racism. Nirubu. Solar flares. ANYTHING but "it's his fault".

Hope this clears things up.

Beez

LOL! Let me give you a clue... It's STILL Bush's fault. Obama would be lucky to fix the damage he's done in 3 terms as POTUS. It's ok though, go ahead and vote republican and see what that gets you. All I have to say is I hope you are very very rich or that you own a Corporation because otherwise you're gonna get fleeced.

its all about my nemesis which i have not seen on here for ions,

If this thread is about someone in particular, what's it doing in Breaking Political News? What's the news? And I think you mean "eons".

so i want to know what happened to all the supporters of hope and change, and what is going to be your next choice in this continual circus jerk of idiots that the American people only can vote on

There are plenty of Obama supporters. Not all of them want to waste their time arguing about it.
And right now, I plan to vote for Obama or Paul, but I don't know which one yet. Or someone one else may come on the scene.

I voted for Obama. Do I regret it? No. Because I didn't support the policies of the other party.

But when Obama put the foxes in the chicken coop, I knew we were in trouble. i.e. Geither, Paulson and friends.

To me, solving many of our countyr's economic problems seem so simple - why doesn't Obama get it?

End the war - fail.
Cut the miltary - fail.
End the bank bail outs - fail.
Moritorium on foreclosures - fail.
End the war on drugs - fail.

If just these 5 things were immediately reversed, i think we would see a huge and swift turn around to our country.

I have plenty of other ideas, but those are my main sticky points.

Again, this is just my personal opinion. Also, Obama didn't cause this mess, this was caused by previous administrations, he just inherited the mess - BUT, he's making it worse.

my 2 cents--

I did not vote. I may not next elections either. My vote ultimately makes no difference, and when I do not see any candidates worth voting for... why even choose "the best one"?

I think it would be interesting if we could get everyone to boycott the elections
What would the governments start to think if no one showed up to the polls, and no one casted a ballot ha. I know that is nearly impossible.. just a thought.

They are still here. Only now, they claim that Obama is a helpless puppet of the NWO and can't do what he needs to do. Also, the evil GOP is in control of the House of Rep. so they are controling poor Obama.

Their hero so easily controlled, maybe they should focus on someone who won't sell out (Ron Paul maybe?).

It is always Bush's fault.
No matter what Lord Obama does, it is G W's fault.

Obama's gaffe on the Medal of Honor recipient being alive is George Bush's fault.
The Japan Nuclear incident is Bush's fault.
The current economic standing is however all Obama.

The passing of the buck was supposed to stop with Obama, as he campaigned on this.
He is not a leader, period.
He is a politician that knows when and who to throw under the bus when it suites him.

Didn't you hear?
James Carville has an update for you.
The polling data is in.
- Blaming Bush doesn't work anymore.-

------------------------
DNC Debbie Wasserman Schultz also has an update for you.
- It's the Obama economy now. -

BTW, socialism doesn't work either.

Entitlement mentality is throwing the entire world into a huge spiral of despair.

Just from my POV...

Even though I was pigeonholed as such, I was never an Obama supporter. It just so happens that I didn't believe, for a moment, much of what was being said about him, such as the "birther" issue, and suggestions that he's a practicing Muslim, etc.

When it's all said and done, I want to dislike people for the right reasons, not manufactured ones. To that end, every single politician in this nation has enough skeletons in their respective closets to mistrust the lot and to never have to make up wild stories. Obama is no worse or better than the jerk who came before him, and will probably be about the same as the next crook to get the job. Buying into the paradigm that somehow or other the previous, or the next guy will be different is just us chasing carrots on the ends of sticks.

But I like carrots.

I know I get slammed for this constantly but I still feel that voting makes a difference.

I still have faith in the system, as flawed as it may be.

Plus, I really do like carrots.

the republicans have been doing everything they can to make the president look bad, even if it means screwing the american people. republicans have been stopping appointments to critical government positions ever since Obama has been elected. the republicans DO NOT WANT this country to function with Obama as president. it's so blatant, that i personally would like to see republican leadership arrested for sedition and brought to trial.
but it won't happen...and with the right-wing supreme court ruling on allowing corporations (american and foreign) to donate unlimited millions to elections... this might be the last democratic president we see in this country.

my prediction....any type of money going to the poor or middle class to help them out, will be gone in ten years or less, plus corporate taxes will be nill or very little, and the wealthy will be paying little if anything in income taxes, all due to the right-wing republicans.

Dems had the house and senate until last year. Blaming that on Obamas' poor actions as POTUS is akin to blaming a poker loss on having just 4 aces instead of 5.

Sorry, but the Dems and Obama don't need anyone else to make them look bad. They are doing this all on their own.

I was an Obama voted. I admit to having been sucked into the media generated myth creation and euphoria. Call me naive; call me a sucker. The truth that he is a corporatist hack began to reveal itself to me with his appointment after appointment of revolving door minions of the oligarchs in finance. Today, no former Obama voter can ignore that while the Right has been historically obstructive, Obama has still either totally caved long before he needed to on many issues and has enriched the oligarchs beyond likely even their wildest dreams at our expense. He also long ago decided soldiers and their blood are to be killed and spilled first and last in cynical schemes to manipulate voter opinion about him.

I now put him on par with Bush as among the worst of presidents in terms of his long term disasterous effect on the American middle class.

At this point, my only voting option will be a 3rd party. I will not vote for the lesser of two people (Dem or Rep) who are ACTIVELY working to enrich the super rich at my expense. Historically, I voted for moderate republicans (translation: no religious Christofascists hypocrites whining about "freedom" why they forward theologically-rooted bill after bill). Had the Tea Party maintained its Ron Paul type authenticity, I had have supported them, but now all they are in general are very low information neaderthal theocrats too stupid to even realize their own manipulation by the likes of the Koch brothers and the deeply entrenched right wing Republican establishment (e.g. Phil Gramm, etc.).

Who's left for me to vote for? Good question. My only moral choice may be a no vote, which to me would have been unthinkable heretofore.

According to Rush Limbaugh, the liberals have a - new - plan.
--------------------
The republicans are actively sabotaging the U.S. economy !!!

That's why the economy is so bad!!!
--------------------
Or maybe it's Obamas policies slowing the growth of the economy.
Lets see now. Which statement is true?

All true jimmyx, but the Republicans did not make Obama appoint Geithner, Summers, et al. The Right did not force Obama to be a suck up to Goldman Sachs, whose people are legion throughout his executive appointments. The Right did not force Obama to cynically explode the Afghan war. The Right did not force him to backdoor strike deals with Big Pharma and Big Health Insurance in the healthcare machinations, causing him to abandon even the tepid "public option" before the supposed negociations with Republican lawmakers had barely started.

Obama is no better, may be even worse than some on the hard Right -- at least many of those lunatics are at least up front about their positions and convictions and hold to them. Obama only has conviction in oratory, never in practice. That makes him the worst sort of fraud.

His withdrawl plan from Afghanistan just announced is another brazen example of his unofficial policy of using military lives as tools of political expedience. To me, nothing is lower and merits removal from office and emprisonment. It is ZERO different from terrorists using human shields -- both deploy innocents in the direct line of fire to protect themselves.
