It is interesting how the mind can be taken over and controlled by irrational emotions. It is easy for someone to jump to a false conclusion without all of the information at hand. Nice example and nice test.

Oooh dear, hahahaha, I guess you DO realize how weird your thread appeals to someone who actually reads through it in one flow. It's like " OP: blabla bla bla blaa gog! herp a derp a derp jebus! glubbedy glub glub believe it!1 - oh btw. just kidding and if you read this then it's all good.

User: Uhh... o-kay...? "

Yeah, so it seemed weird to me. Because I read all of it just like that and - considering the not so dreadful length - supposed it shouldn't be that much of a big trick...

... only after reading the replies did I understand - people actually did jump ahead to conclusions and replied without having read the entire thing.

So a S&F goes to you. I believe you succeeded with this experiment of yours and the results are quite stunning. How people can actually neglect pivotal methods of approaching informational text such as the very basics - reading all of it. Isn't that far from the "think before you post"-concept and also one of the reasons I prefer keeping it quiet rather than desultorily typing the first thing that comes to my mind when reading a thread. If more people would take the time to truly engage into their topics of interest then we'd have to put up with way less crap that's going on in some places these days. Especially such difficult and touchy subjects as those who potentialy unleash the emotional sides in us, wiping away vital amounts of rationality.

Now I'm not trying to insult anyone or make myself look flawless just because I passed this little experiment (assuming such would be ridiculous anyways. ) - but rather encourage those who failed to take this with them as a valuable discovery and nudge to address things more thoughtfully in future.
Well, surely there are times when the topic's too huge and one's too short on time and/or patience to go through all of it, but then again, why not just save it all for later? Cuz answering a topic one did little more than roughly scann through still makes the constructiveness of it's reply a matter of chance rather than actual brain power is what I'm sayin'. People, we can do better than that.

Though then again, this is ATS and already being here makes vigilance more o less a prequisite for this user base.

Cheers~

Its like the little test they used to give us at school, with about 20 questions or something and then at the very end saying " 20) Dont answer any of these questions. Turn the page over, the test is complete " " - To make sure you read it all before you started.

So Boncho, now what?

Did you do this for your own self-satisfaction, to hight-light members that have a knee-jerk response to keywords or phrases?

It would be interesting to know if there is a gender bias in the replies.

This wasn't a test in the way you portrayed it, all this really did was highlight members that have feel strongly towards certain point of views.

It's like saying:

Boncho, you are a complete and utter moron. Every post you have written on ATS has been nothing but a waste of bandwidth. You should just leave!!

*only joking

You will get an emotional response from people that feel strongly towards your opinion. From the very start you create a mindset, with no indication that this mindset will change. No past tense, therefore one would assume after reading the first two paragraphs that the subsequent paragraphs would follow the same flavour.

So yes, people that feel strongly would argue "Why read the rest of this dribble?", because that is how you set your post up.

Edit: Just to clarify, I'm not attacking, just asking questions. I'm not a mean person, just a curious one.

Looking for direct emotional responses? Interesting, so I assume the topic you stated prior was merely a test to provoke a reaction. I was considering bashing your thread at the part "science is wrong and aliens are demons" I was about to flip sh*t but came to the conclusion that responding without fully understanding the topic was deemed illogical.

Either way I shall state my counterpoints for your first paragraphs.
"aliens" are very real, we are aliens to another race, as they are to us, does their religion say no aliens exist? Probably but they have to learn to accept it.
Secondly either niburu or any other unknown planet is it's way, Jesus was a mortal, and Satan is an idea.

Much like the shaping of our political system, god being capitalist and satan communist, both representing the duel sides to humanity, we can be caring kind and forgiving but we also have an aggressive side, anger hate and greed. As god is 3 and Satan is 6. Since the square route of 6 is 3. It means god and Satan are the same character, just Satan represents gods angry side.

But all of the bible is metaphores now, at first it was to ba taken literally, with no evidence, now it's just metaphors, slowly the entire religious system will be a metaphor.

As in human nature of course there are people who believe in a great war between good and evil, it's in our very nature to presume such things. Religion is the secret wants and desires of our species.

If you are religious then by all means be religious but do not discredit any other religion because it doesn't match yours, your religion is just as right as Jews or Muslims or Hindus or Christians. All were mere ideas at their beginning, all had long enduring roads. So no one group is better than another.

Anyway I shall read some of the other comments, to see who failed your little "test"

Not quite sure why you're attacking the OP, I've quite enjoyed reading the responses - it was a simple message that we can all benefit from - don't jump to conclusions.
Even if a topic is setup to be emotive from the start, at least have the courtesy to read the entire content before posting a reply. Whilst I agree with 0% of the content of this post I still read the post in it's entirety.

Who's attacking?

I'm not. I'm having a discussion. (one way at the moment, but still!)

I must admit for a moment there, I thought: "oh no, boncho has come unhinged!" Then I read on and realized that this thread was going to be hilarious. Star and flag for your none too subtle experiment.

Interesting. I have to watch myself, that I don't make that mistake. I don't think I ever have though. I thoroughly read the entire OP every time before replying (but I seldomly do reply). This reminds me of back when I was a wee lad (around second or third grade) my teacher handed the class a test. The first few questions were tricks, and the paper was tamper-evident (meaning, eraser marks are easily detected). Or, were we required to write in pen? I forgot. Anyway, the test required me to read the entire sheet before starting to answer the questions. I'm pretty sure I was one of the scarce few that passed that test.

Here's where I stand:

The real people who are against you are your local politicians and your families.
My family members are the few people I trust.

The builderbergers who are trying to help you out.
Anyone who operates in secrecy is up to no good. I don't trust them.

The NWO is trying to find justice for the common man.
Maybe. I don't know. It's not my business.

Everyone lies to you and you don't see it. Aliens and UFO's and everything of the like has been made up by people seeking attention. None of it ever existed. And it has been perpetuated by people looking to make a name for themselves or out seeking attention. There are no true conspiracies out there. It is just people trying to upset others they don't like.
I can see some truth to this. I believe there are true conspiracies out there, but I concur that most of them (especially UFO and alien-related) are BS and lies.

Religion is real, God is real, and aliens cannot exist because of that. If they did, they would be related to as God's children in the bible. It is obvious that all science is lacking because carbon dating is built off things that people don't understand. People who think there are aliens coming to talk to them are really talking about demons. The devil controls all bad thought that comes into people's heads. The devil is trying to take over the world, not the elite. And the Devil has the most affect on poor and low class people.
This is the one truth that the people need to know!

The only way to save the world is to enter God's light and stop giving into the Devil.
Jesus is the only way to salvation and peace.

The NWO and the Illuminati should be praised for trying to make the world a better place and get us closer to god.
No. Evil is evil. It should be not be praised. I hate what is evil (assuming the NWO and the Illuminati ARE, in fact, evil ;D).

Nibiru is real but it is Jesus coming for his return. Elenin is real and it is Satan coming for his return. There will be a great battle.
That's what the bible says. But who are we to say we know the date of their arrival, and the subsequent events that are to pass? Only God knows the day and the hour. We will see with our own eyes what Elenin/Nibiru REALLY is when the time comes.
