A Growing Threat for Russia, From Within

Like most posts on ATS, if its in the wrong spot, some help would be GREATLY appreiciated, I took a guess, lol.

Alright. This has been diccussed on ATS before, and I will include the links. The most recent was from 2010. So i figured a update was needed.

I was watching a show this moring called "From Russia With Hate," It was about the growing, trend, yes trend as in fad, of Russian youths turning to Nazism. I did find it kind of funny at first, considering Russia was a Communist nation, trying to keep out the Socialist Nazis, they always had a huge hate for each other.

But back to what I was saying. Apparently, their numbers have grown to almost 70k. Which is a HUGE amount of Neo-Nazis.

Now I know they usually arent a huge threat, I mean they are, but they are usually taken down in the US, but here we have this...

On 15 August 2007 Victor Milkov, a 23 year old student at the Maykop State Technological Institute in Adygea, and RNSP member, was arrested for distributing a video on the internet which shows two migrants apparently being executed by a "militant wing" of the RNSP.[1][2][3]

According to the show I was watching this morning. This was in retaliation for one of their "Leaders" being thrown in jail. Its pretty nuts, they do this for fun. Its pretty digusting. Heres the link to the show's episode.

Its pretty brutal to see people doing this, but for upwards of 70k (according to the show) that are all doing this, its a growing threat, hell, its already a big one.

I have seen similar films of young russian nazis attacking people of colour,or training in the forest.
Complete fools to the last man IMO,did they not read history?

Russia stood against the Nazis,when their true colours showed,when operation Barbarossa began.

Minority of idiots still think nazis are great in lots of countries-but they never lived under them to know what it would be like.

It is hard to understand,if you look at it from a rational point of view like you or I.
But some people just like being cruel-thats the most simple way I can describe fascists and dictatorships.
Some people give in to the dark side when they get power-they never start off saying"we will exterminate all"race here"but they do it slowly,like a frog in a pot.

It makes you think about us as a species-how easy some people are taken in by extremism is a scary part of who we are.

But I always think-I am one step away from the same desperation-If I was born in another country,those bombs would be landing on my family and friends.
Would I turn into an extremist/insurgent in the same situ?
Would any of us?
I think we would.

See the film "The Soviet Story" and you will be astonished by how much Stalin's Soviet Union resembled Hitler's Nazi Germany. Project by project, picture by picture, gersture by gesture. It is a real eye opener.
Perhaps the Nazis were a little worse at the time - but there was no significant difference.
Then again: all the significant death camps were in Eastern Europe.

Historically, Germany was a leading nation when it was cheated into an armistice after WWI then made to pay exorbitant sums and lost part of its territory.

Millions went jobless. It was suddenly easy to sell the idea that non-Germans and foreigners did that just for spite.
A similar thing is happening in Russia today.

As much as I like the ordinary Russian, this I think (as a person who grew up in Eastern Europe) is something to be afraid of.

So back to your post - no, they were not enemies of Naism in every way.
They were RIVALS.

I was born in USSR, I been there, when Modern Russia, supposedly got it "freedom" in the coupe of 1991.

Ever since then, its been nothing, but pure jealousy towards the western nations, how come we got a freedom now, but we don't live as well and (common believe in Russia) rich like everyone in the, well lets say USA.

So somebody to blame then, for all this then ?! Right ?! Who I wonder . . . lets see . . . look over there! The man with the different skin color! Get him/her!

I've been there, I seen it happend - modern Russians are not Nazis, just really pissed off on the rest of the world, about government system change and nothing good, really came out of that. There is two classes of people in Russia now, really rich, and really poor, since poor people, can't get the rich people just yet, they taking out frustration on the people of different race. That is all.

Still I think like puting an "imho" here.

Then your nation of origin must struggle with similar issues to mine (Hungary), only at a bigger scale.
We have a few neonazis too, they target Gypsies mainly but they do not circulate such videos. They also run training camps - for less than a hundred people out of a nation of ten million plus a few million abroad - but this training camp in Russia looked far more serious.

I think both Russia and Hungary believed at one time that the fall of the Soviet system will produce good capitalism and welfare for everyone. Now we know that it produced crime, slavery, ignorance, environmental pollution, prostitution and giant profits for "investors." And a small amount of relative freedom.

But whether Hungarians are dissatisfied and blame Gypsies and Jews is probably not going to worry the world too much. There are only roughly ten million inhabitants, and we are supposedly part of the EU already.

It is much more of a problem if people like those shown in the video have SOME power in Russia, a giant country.

My friend!

As much of the confidence I would like to give you, over "bright" future of Russia.

I have none . . . honestly.

That's why I left over some years ago.

I have no confidence left over that nation, which for whoever reason calls itself "free" nation still. I live in Canada for a number of years now, and sometimes I still ashamed (truly), when somebody tries to discuss the current events, which are going on in Russia right now.

In my personal opinion, I always say in reply - two or even three number of generations should change in Russia, before, that nation will truly becomes free. That's my opinion.

70,000 out of 143,000,000 really isn't that bad. Locally its bad but on the grand scheme....Nat so bud!.
