A few years ago I had to replace my cooler's water pump. I had a 5000 cfm pump.

Read the side of the cooler, it said to use a 7500. Looked on the internet and someone had written a long internet article where he had used two 18,000 pumps on his cooler and two sets of the spider arms. This was way too much for me. Just got a 12,500 for my cooler. Works fine! Much better.

For 110F the thing will have to run 24/7 for a few days. Haven't changed the pads recently. Used better quality ones sometimes, didn't seem to help.

I'm in Ohio and the temperature tomorrow is expected to be 68 degrees, today the high is only 74 .. saturday should be in the mid to upper 70s.

It amazes me how the temperatures vary so greatly

I have a nice refrigerated air unit. Man it's heavy. Pushed it in to the living room. Still in it's box. Cat sits on it.

Overclock your swamp cooler. What a funny line.

Back in the day, I lived in San Bernardino for a number of years.
We had a pretty big 2 story house.

When it was a blazin over 105 to 110, I was FORCED to go buy ice and climb a ladder and put the ice in the bottom of the cooler up on the second story.

Glad THAT'S just a memory.

It worked...but what a lousy task.
