This is the most condescending introduction I have ever read here.

Really doubt if there are too many people named "Hussein" living in Iran. How many parents would have named their kid after their countries worst enemy for so many years.

I could be wrong......Muslims are pretty messed up people.......but I doubt it.

Not your fault nor mine. It is human nature to try and survive and if Red cars are killing people then people are goin to dislike red cars even the ones that don't hit people.

I wish there was a way to know which of the many Red cars were the ones that want to hit me but I don't

Excellent analogy.

Well said!

OK, but how many "Western people" were hit by a "red car"?

more of the "Western people" hit "red cars"...

don't you think?

Hossein/Hussein/Hassan (many variants of the spelling) is the 3rd most common male name in Iran.

Thanks! You just confirmed my statement about Muslims being very messed up people. How many American parents, after WW2, named their kids Hitler?

Good and true words and I hope many hear them. There is one God, by whatever name, and we are all His children. This is one Earth, and we are all Her children. Peace be unto you and yours.

Welcome Hussein!
I know how you feel, people should be treated with respect, no matter where they come from.
No one is better than someone else, just because they have different origins. I also believe there
is a vast propaganda against muslims in the west, as well as there might be a vast propaganda
against the west in the east. Let's hope people will some day overcome silly notions such as "tell
me where you are from, so I can tell you who you are".
Have peace and happiness, be kind and help other human beings, and your life will instantly become much better.
Peace!

First of all I wanna say that I support the message of the OP's post in large parts. Be it said by a jew, an arabic person, a hispanic person or anyone else in the world...

That said, I have to say that I don't buy the authenticity of the OP.

1. Don't you think it's odd that he wrote such an elaborate message but never replied to the comments?
2. There is no Hussein in farsi. It's called (and spelled) Hossein. Hussein is arabic.
3. Soueid is no persian name. Again it's typical arabic and quite common in lebanon. (actually I have a lebanese friend with that name)

All this doesn't affect the message of the post... But it makes you wonder who is writing such a post and why...

Wow, did you just missed the point.... get your head out of your ego! How sad it is for the rest of us, wanting peace among the humanity to have to deal with people such as you. Without me being one of those haters, I just hope one day you grow up. And I'll leave it at that!

By the way I'm actually Persian I was born and raised in Iran..and yes our country is also stolen from us... just like America is now.... everything he says, is the truth. So really hear him out...

great first post, I hope you come back and carry on on ats...

Sadly i believe 98% (the other 2% being made up of psychopaths and madmen) of the worlds population can be taught to dance like puppets on a string, fear of other races is normal and in a situation were it is socially acceptable to be predudiced most people will be unless preconditioned not too.

Eugenics and nazism never left with the second world war, despite what many people seem to believe and now its back. Instead of the jews though its the muslims (or anyone who looks middle eastern because most westerners don't know the differance.) things arn't really bad yet but every day we (the west) get closer to the views that our forefathers fought against.

Welcome to ATS, my friend.
Not all people in the western world are thinking the same way, for instance me and my family are pacifists and vegetarians, we do not agree with war or any type of violence because we understand that all humans and things surrounding us in nature on this planet and in the universe are One and the Source everything comes from is One.
It makes me sad to see that our governments use the taxes payed by middle-class hard working people like us to keep up wars that consume even more oil and resources and also destroy human life.
It makes me sad that the government I am voting for is not representing the interests of the people but the interests of big corporations.
It makes me sad that the nations of the world are being manipulated on the stage of hate and that religious dogma is being used as a pretext.
It makes me sad all nations have been enslaved by the puppet-masters to carry on an unsustainable unfair economy based on debt.
It makes me sad that in the name of security people have been tricked into giving away their freedom and rights.
It makes me sad that children are suffering and dying because of this wars and my son will for sure one day as a grown-up ask me why we did not try to change the course of events.

Maybe we can make here a cultural difference and challenge the odds

When I want to understand what is happening today or try to decide what will happen tomorrow, I look back-Omar Khayyam.
