Hi Hussein, I agree with your points, but you have to understand that most Americans especially here in Mississippi, yes, Mississippi, is one of the
most diverse, friendliest places around. I have a buddy that owns a store down the road in the country from India, sometimes we talk about issues, and
I have asked him how he gets treated and he said out of the 14 years he has lived here, he has only dealt with harmful remarks by folks 2-3 times, and
2 times it was in New Jersey where he started, and once here in 14 years in his first year.
13 years in the country is a '' supposed '' dumb redneck filled state of ignorance, I would say thats pretty kind. Hell, I have had more racists
things said to me this year than he has in 13 years.
You wouldn't think deep in the country people would be that kind, but those that actually believe the media would make you think the south is full of
racists rednecks, some counties maybe, but my area is diverse and we all get along and have constructive town meetings and our children play together
and we ALL lend a hand regardless of who you are or what you believe in.
So please don't write us all off just yet. You should visit the coast one day, you will come back I guarantee it.
