North Korea 'buys anti-riot gear from China'

North Korea has bought large amounts of anti-riot equipment from China in recent months, South Korea's main news agency says.

This was apparently to prepare for possible unrest in the country, it said.

The Yonhap news agency said Pyongyang had created a special police force; it had also considered buying flak jackets and other anti-riot equipment.

The United Nations says North Korea is facing severe food shortages.

An unnamed source told the Yonhap news agency that North Korea had bought

It doesn't surprise me that North Korea would limit what it's people view in there media, but news of the worldwide revolutions is spreading far and wide.

A country that can't feed it's people but spends huge money on it's military deserves to fail, and that would aid the western world.

Perhaps these protests are a CIA funded program, if so they would make sure that news from around the would would reach the people.

Kim jong iL got rid of the CIA money in his country when he declared their currency was done and everyone had to trade it in for the new currency.

Kim Jong iL thwarted what's going on in other countries.

The Riot Gear is for use in South Korea's cities.
