The President's Commission on the Assassination of President Kennedy, usually called the Warren Commission after its chairman Chief Justice Earl Warren, conducted hearings in 1964 on the assassination of JFK. It issued its now-famous finding that Lee Harvey Oswald, alone and unaided, killed President Kennedy in Dallas on November 22, 1963. It further found that Jack Ruby's murder of Oswald, while Oswald was in police custody, was also not part of any conspiracy.
In addition to the published 26 volumes of evidence, the released files of the Warren Commission include over 50,000 pages of numbered documents, internal memorandum, transcripts of Executive Sessions, and more. The testimony and files of the Commission serve as an important base of evidence in any understanding of the events in Dallas.
In late 1966, New Orleans District Attorney quietly opened an investigation into local aspects of the Kennedy assassination. Local reports soon got wind of this, and in early 1967 the investigation quickly gained a national spotlight. Garrison arrested New Orleans businessman Clay Shaw and charged him in the murder of the President. The case went to trial in 1969 and Shaw was acquitted.
Available here is not only the transcript of the Clay Shaw trial, but also grand jury records which had been ordered destroyed at one time, but which were delivered safely to the Assassination Records Review Board in the mid 1990s.
Prior to the so-called Church Committee, the Presidents Commission on CIA Activities Within the United States was formed by President Gerald Ford. Headed by Vice-President Nelson Rockefeller, this body came to be known as the Rockefeller Commission.
The Rockefeller Commission issued a single report in 1975, which delineated some CIA abuses including mail opening and surveillance of domestic dissident groups. It also conducted a narrow study of issues relating to the JFK assassination, specifically the backward head snap as seen in the Zapruder film (first shown publicly in 1975), and the possible presence of E. Howard Hunt and Frank Sturgis in Dallas.
The files of the Rockefeller Commission were reviewed by the Church Committee, and some of them are included as part of the roughly 50,000 pages of declassified Church Committee documents now publicly available at the National Archives.

The Senate Select Committee to Study Governmental Operations with Respect to Intelligence Activities, known as the "Church Committee" after its chairman Frank Church, conducted a wide-ranging investigation of the intelligence agencies in the post-Watergate period.
The Church Committee took public and private testimony from hundreds of people, collected huge volumes of files from the FBI, CIA, NSA, IRS, and many other federal agencies, and issued 14 reports in 1975 and 1976. Since the passage of the JFK Assassination Records Collection Act in 1992, over 50,000 pages of Church Committee records have been declassified and made available to the public. These files contain testimony and information on U.S. attempts to assassinate foreign leaders, on the Church Committee's investigation of the intelligence agencies' response to the JFK assassination, and related topics.

In 1976, the House Select Committee on Assassinations undertook reinvestigations of the murders of John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Jr. In 1979, a single Final Report and twelve volumes of appendices on each assassination were published by the Congress. In the JFK case, the HSCA found that there was a "probable conspiracy," though it was unable to determine the nature of that conspiracy or its other participants (besides Oswald). This finding was based in part on acoustics evidence from a tape purported to record the gunfire in Dealey Plaza, but was also based on other evidence including an investigation of Jack Ruby's underworld connections. The acoustics evidence was disputed by a panel of scientists, but that "debunking" has itself been subject to serious challenge in recent years.
The massive internal files of the HSCA were unsealed in the wake of the 1992 JFK Assassination Records Collection Act. Still being digested by researchers, they have shed more light on the assassination itself and also on the conduct of the HSCA's investigation. Contained herein are some of the more important documents from that collection, including the long-desired "Lopez Report" and many formerly-secret depositions.
The National Archives and Records Administration has on occasion created or released its own documents related to the assassination of President Kennedy. In some cases, such as the "Yeltsin documents" handed by Russian President Boris Yeltsin to President Clinton in 1999, there is no agency other than NARA formally associated with the papers. This set includes some very unique historical documents.

I do thank you for taking the time to make this thread. Also thank you for all the valuable information one might need in further reserach of the JFK

Does none of you think that all that JFK assasination plot was just a staged fake secene?! Scandals are a part of politics to remove the guys away with a heroic style.... Zapruder film came out after 12 damn years, which was a well done work of the hollywood magicians.
But No, some enthusiastic people must spend their entire lives to this case to find the truth after all the people who were involved in it are dead. Which brings me to the point that how dumbed down must you be to follow those bits (baits) years after year and let the psyops agents make you dance around your own nose. "The New Tapes Came Out"... whoaaaaa.... "A New Document is Released".... OMG I cant believe thaaaaaatttttt
Go some swimming or fishing, enjoy your life in stead of sitting hours long investigating such hoaxes. Now it is out, yes it was a hoax, so, happy? No? OK, than go on researching and let your grandsons research it too while you go down to your grave with some new released documents on your chest. On your grave that will be written "He was so close....Cant Rest in Peace Now"
Except for inauguration or other parades involving foreign dignitaries accompanied by the President in Washington, it has not been the practice of the Secret Service to make surveys or checks of buildings along the route of a Presidential motorcade. For the inauguration and certain other parades in Washington where the traditional route is known to the public long in advance of the event, buildings along the route can be checked by teams of law enforcement officers, and armed guards are posted along the route as appropriate. But on out-of-town trips where the route is decided on and made public only a few days in advance, buildings are not checked either by Secret Service agents or by any other law enforcement officers at the request of the Secret Service. With the number of men available to the Secret Service and the time available, surveys of hundreds of buildings and thousands of windows is not practical. In Dallas the route selected necessarily involved passing through the principal downtown section between tall buildings. While certain streets thought to be too narrow could be avoided and other choices made, it was not practical to select a route where the President could not be seen from roofs or windows of buildings. At the two places in Dallas where the President would remain for a period of time, Love Field and the Trade Mart, arrangements were made for building and roof security by posting police officers where appropriate. Similar arrangements for a motorcade of ten miles, including many blocks of tall commercial buildings is not practical.
So what have the documents you have linked already taught us about the JFK case that stands out?

Thanks for your post but really, I hate that attitude to things - It's absolutely pointless.
You're practically saying we should just give it up already and move on with our lives.. in other words, you're saying we should happily just let people get away with murder here - murder of the president of a country might I add.
And this wasn't even 50 years ago still.
Anyway, as I've said to people in the past, you should feel free to give up your search for the truth in this case, but I know for sure I certainly won't. I feel this case is just too important to ignore and I think we deserve to know what really happened here.
I do wonder why Oswald would so willingly send them to an address where some of his belongings were knowing there was a picture of him holding a rifle. Perhaps I am just reading too much into it.
Your problem is not that you want to know the truth!
I have told you the truth, but still, your inablity to see the SIMPLE facts make you a misarable researcher.
Go on to hate those, accuse them for everything happens around you and forget about how you are being screwed and fooled by your masters.
hence you think he is the hero
I know very well these thing wont change your mind
also deny the truth that I have explained it to you right here.
Keep researching...
