Youtube Censorship of Fukushima reporting ???!!!

There's a Frenchman ( who goes by "playbacklapompe" on Youtube, who lives in Japan that was using his Youtube channel to report on the events of Fukushima, letting the rest of the world know what was actually going on. I have been following him for a couple of months since I found out about what he was doing. He did updates daily, I really looked forward to them, I got to like the guy and respect him for what he was doing. There haven't been any updates from him in several days, and I just found this message from him on his channel site this morning. "From playbacklapompe - ALL MY VIDEOS REGARDING FUKUSHIMA HAVE BEEN CANCELLED FROM YOUTUBE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO ONE LEFT THIS MORNING !!!"

What the heck!!! What a travesty, that YOUTUBE is censoring vital information! They can allow pornography and other sick twisted crap, but when it comes to information that is vital to our survival and wellbeing, they shut it down!!! I would love to know the politics behind that! Though I shouldn't be suprised!

(His channel is still there, his music videos he made are still there, just all his Fukushima video updates are gone)

yeah it's a bunch of crap,the problem being if we knew the truth about japan,we would be screaming for blood at the situation in our country.They don't want us to know the truth because THEY can;t handle the situation here or abroad.The whole thing makes me physically ill,nuclear disaster,world financial crises,bp past and present(God help the future),all this and the people who hold the public trust stcking it in anyway they can.Doesn't suprise me they are censoring this type of information,if we were well informed we would do something about it,so it goes to reason(theirs)to hide the truth,then the majority will think all is good and they maintain control....when the hell will it end........hopefully peace ya'll

I just found several of his videos that someone reposted.

In part 1 he says TEPCO lied, well that's pretty common knowledge, they didn't admit a meltdown at first but from what we've learned since there was a meltdown and they knew it. Then he questions the amount of radiation released, and says nobody really knows. how much was released. There may be some truth to that since a lot of TEPCO's sensors were blown up in the explosions so I think there's certainly some guessing going on about that.

In part 2, if this is typical I don't see what you see in this guy, he's talking a lot but not saying anything, except the way to solve problems is by talking about them. People can talk until the cows come home but all the talk in the world won't fix Fukushima. Action will fix it, but not talk. He seems like a nice guy but I'd rather get my updates from Arnie Gunderson at Fairewinds, or even the guy in Tokyo who went outside with his geiger counter and actually measured something.

However I'm not really sure why youtube would remove those videos. If he was saying something in some other videos he made to try to cause a mass panic in Japan that might be a reason, but I didn't really see anything like that in these videos, so I don't know why they'd remove it unless it was removed in a mass action along with other videos that were a problem?

It will be interesting to see if these reposts also get taken down.

Update - it looks like the videos may have been removed because someone following Alex really wanted to help him out, and urged him to send his paypal account info so anyone could donate to help him and his family get out of Japan. From all the posters' banter back and forth, it looks like Alex gave out his paypal acct info against his best judgement, because others were urging him because they wanted to help him (he never asked for help), and got him flagged by Youtube for "illegally" soliciting donations. Now the group of followers who urged Alex for acct info to help him, feel really, really bad and are in the process of contacting Youtube to try and straighten this out.

Let's see what happens.....hopefully this wasn't censorship after all............time will tell.
