NBC apologizes for cutting "under God" from Pledge of Allegiance before U.S. Open

“We began our coverage of this final round just about three hours ago and when we did it was our intent to begin the coverage of this U.S. Open Championship with a feature that captured the patriotism of our national championship being held in our nation’s capital for the third time. Regrettably, a portion of the Pledge of Allegiance that was in that feature was edited out. It was not done to upset anyone and we’d like to apologize to those of you who were offended by it.”

So, this is where politically correct has got us.

The Government controlled MSM has decided God is to "edgy" I guess. We wouldn't want to offend any other groups of people, would we?

I for one am sick and tired of trying to please everybody. This country was founded on Christian principles, like it or not.

I want my God back in the Pledge of Allegiance, a pledge to a once great country, that hopefully one day will be great again.

IF that offends anybody, they can kiss my American butt.

I'm sorry but the majority of our founding fathers were NOT christian. So NBC doesn't really have to apologize, considering that the "Under God" part was added during the middle of the Cold War in order to set us apart from those evil commies.

The Pledge of Allegiance was created by a socialist, who wanted to drum up support for federal bureaucracies. I say we get rid of the whole thing.

Your god is included in the all-encompassing term "God". It doesn't say "Under Jesus" or "Under Muhammed" or any other specific god.

Those "wackos" that don't claim to know how the Universe started but rather choose to keep an open mind to different possibilities as long as they're credible and backed up by science and common sense.

Maybe it might have to do with the level of knowledge that is available today? Just a thought.

Remember how people used to believe that whenever it was thundering it was because god was angry? Yeah, know we know where thunder comes from and what causes it.

And I totally agree with you. Under God has been in the pledge of allegiance since forever, and they OBVIOUSLY omitted it because NBC stands for Neitcshe Broadcasting Company and they want to destroy god G*Ds name from the pledge to our flag because it is NOT a false idol because jesus loves America the best!

Actually I choose to live life to the fullest without fear that some supernatural being is watching me every second of my life.

Also I choose to believe that the many wonders of the universe and of this world are just simply unexplainable, and I don't try to make some God responsible for them, I enjoy their beauty but I don't choose to praise some being that I don't even know if it exists for their existence.
