THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PLEASANT HILL HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR RAPID RIVER RISES IN...
WESTERN ATCHISON COUNTY IN NORTHWEST MISSOURI...

* UNTIL 1230 PM CDT MONDAY

* AT 1239 PM CDT...LOCAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT REPORTED LOCATIONS OF
OVERTOPPING LEVEES IN FAR WESTERN ATCHISON COUNTY. WATER LEVELS ON
THE MISSOURI RIVER IN FAR NORTHWEST MISSOURI HAVE RISEN ONE TO ONE
AND A HALF FEET SINCE LAST NIGHT...WHICH WAS REACHING THE TOP OF
LEVEE PROTECTION.

* FLOODING IS OCCURRING OVER MAINLY RURAL AREAS OF WESTERN ATCHISON
COUNTY...GENERALLY WEST OF INTERSTATE 29.

* UNTIL 1000 AM CDT MONDAY

* AT 953 AM CDT...LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
REPORTED SEVERAL LEVEE BREACHES ALONG THE MISSOURI RIVER AND
TRIBUTARIES ACROSS NORTHWEST MISSOURI. THIS WILL CAUSE WATER
LEVELS ON THE FLOODED MISSOURI RIVER TO RISE RAPIDLY NEAR A FOOT
AND A HALF IN THE NEXT 12 HOURS IN FAR WESTERN HOLT COUNTY.

* FLASH FLOODING IS EXPECTED TO OCCUR OVER MAINLY RURAL AREAS OF
NORTHWESTERN HOLT COUNTY...INCLUDING THE BIG LAKE AREA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

FLOOD WATERS ARE MOVING DOWN MISSOURI RIVER FROM BROWNVILLE TO RULO.
WATER LEVELS WILL BEGIN TO RISE QUICKER THIS AFTERNOON...WITH ONE TO
ONE AND A HALF FOOT RISES...TO 26.7 FEET BY MONDAY MORNING.
