Those cows are dying from malnutrition not radiation.

Also related to the other videos, you are not supposed to pet or be close to any animal that was exposed to radiation! Touching such animals will get you radiated because their fur stores radiation if they roamed around the 20 km zone! Taking such animals in your home will radiate all people that get close to them!

Saving them only exposes more people and the environment to radiation!!!

During Chernobyl the military killed all animals around the disaster area to prevent radiation exposure and movement!

People in Japan should get informed!!! Your kindness can kill you in such instances! I love animals but please be aware of what you are actually doing!

I concur wholeheartedly that these haven't died from "Radiation" and wish the mods would correct such sweeping aspersions from ill thought out thread titles. They're in a fenced feeding area and we're probably abandoned alongside other possessions when the speedy evacuation was ordered.

There are vids on youtube where some guys drive into the evac-zone and see some random cattle wandering the streets. There owners probably thought "we might not be coming back, so we'll leave the gate open and give them a fighting chance", which in real terms mean they've got a good chance of spreading the radiation beyond the evac zone.

It's harsh to leave them to die, but they'll pose less risk to us humans as a corpse left in the evac-zone than potentially spreading contamination to area's they've blindly wondered into, looking for food.

In April vets were sent into Fukushima restricted zones, with lime to spray over the already dead, and if the owners could be found, and they gave permission, orders to euthanize living animals.

Animals removed from the zone have been run over with a dosimetre and decontaminated. People cant just go in without permission and take animals or objects out. It is possible to wash. Like if a human is contaminated, you wash. These animals might well have a greater chance of cancer, but they deserved a chance to live.

The fear mongering, racism, and sheer level of delight in suffering that some posters show on this site is absolutely shocking. Im all for the truth, but things like this, and the earless rabbits are very wrong. Do you know how it scares people under stress unnecessarily? Same goes for the spike of infant deaths in Philly - people just using bad stats and math to make things seem even worse. This situation does not need that at all.

How would all of you liked it if people in Japan had gloated over 9 11? It would have hurt, right?
