Chocolate was the most perfect bunny we ever knew.
when my neice lost her bunny, she asked me to write something for the funeral:

Dear Chocolate,

Thank you for the year you spent with us.

we learned so much from you.

while we say goodby, little guy.

you will always be in our dreams, our hearth, our soul.

the love in your eyes, the fun in your play.

you tried so hard to do the best.

knowing you was wonderful, thank you.

you gave us so much, thank you.

those who had the joy to know you.

i was asked to work with this coworker who spent most of the day sleeping.
i had nothing to do but stare at a big round clock on the wall, all day long.
it inspired this:

some days last forever
today is even longer

like a dog howls at the moon

i stare at the clock that never moves

your life is your own
to do as you choose
remember the others who share your journey
and look for joy as only you can make it
others will harm and others will heal
choose your side
good or evil
love your family
and have fun

Within every dove of peace lays the spirit of a snake...
A man can switch his veils but still will not awake...
Run, run, run as you may...
But never shall you ever break yourself away...

What seems, can and always will be changed...
But without doubt, what is, will always remain the same...

Your eyes are but a prison, clouding your truest vision...
For only a blind man measures distance...
For only a deaf man try's to listen...

Where there is light, this is where hides the darkness...
Where there is noise, this is where hides the silence...
Where there is compassion, this is where hides the heartless...
Where there is peace, this is where hides the violence...

Peace friends.

T'was way back in October,
And I was far from sober,
I was carrying a load with manly pride.
When my legs began to flutter,
And I lay down in the gutter,
A pig came by and lay down by my side.
When two ladies came my way,
I heard one of them say...
"You can tell a man who boozes,
By the company he chooses".
Well that darned ol' pig got up and walked away!

Wisdom= Learning from other's mistakes.

Experience= Learning from one's own mistakes.

I would prefer to have more wisdom than experience. But, just because I might be a perfectionist.

[color=dodgerblue]The cycles continue from here to there
each cycle more learned with hope to share

Each cycle brings forth experience learned
dont play with fire or youll get burned

Deny the ignorance - but keep a level mind
Something learned why spinning thru time

Help out others where help is in need
Share LOVE and happines with ALL you meet

Each time you pass another SOUL
Share some warmth no need to be cold

Its said alone 1 cannot change it ALL
but atleast 1 can prevent a fall

Of another soul that cycles thru
Atleast THIS cycle I AM HERE FOR YOU

Great thread! I'll share mine below.

"Hope sees the invisible, feels the intangible, and achieves the impossible."

"In taking revenge, a man is but even with his enemy, but in passing it over, he is superior."

"Nationalism is an infantile disease. It is the measles of mankind."

"Try not to become a man of success, but rather to become a man of value."

"Peace cannot be kept by force. It can only be achieved by understanding."

"The good man is friend of all living things."

war is not of bullets and tanks
land and oil.
just a conflict in ideology.

A part of my life was once given over to those who were vain, glib, and without empathy and remorse. To feed on. Whats left of me says, to you, when you meet those, run! The other way!

I think this is brilliant (even if not meant to be).... it allows us to fill in a word based on our own preconception of rules. Is it any more than what we do in being human?

There's a Boogie in the closet,
But he's not real you see
Its just a game that we all play, The Boogie is really Humanity.

We've made a very ugly face,
And shown our fangs and claws
We've breathed real deep and scary, And growled with hungry jaws.
