I have already, but it was in a u2u, and per the ATS T&C, you can't post about that PM here.

Now, back to the topic at hand.

The CIA NOT conducting operation in Pakistan.

Which is as likely as the Pope NOT conducting prayers in the Vatican.

ohh, the link is only from a Pakistan point of view..
I think, as others have stated, that they are just saving face with their people..
They already admitted to cooperating with the CIA partially with the OBL issue..

I'm curious, do you honestly believe that the population of Pakistan believe their government when they make claims like this?

Personally I find it hard to believe that the Pakistani people are that gullible.

But, they do try to win their trust, for example, they've recently been arresting people accused of cooperating with the CIA which allegedly led to the (fake) Osama Bin Laden compound raid.

Pakistan, is a very unique ally, because they are also our enemy.

I don't know enough about the population to answer that..

How much freedom of information is there for the average Pakistani?

I have met many Pakistanis overseas and they know what's going on,
but I've never been to Pakistan to get a local's view..

He said all checkposts in Islamabad have been restored and police force deployed to check people without any discrimination. “We will take all possible measures to protect lives and propriety of the people.”
