Anyone have any info on this picture of a dead reptilian head?

Something about that picture just screams "FAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!" at me when I look at it. I think the lighting contrast between the supposed reptilian head and the background is a little surreal.

Ok so from what I have found out so far this photo is not from District 9 because according to this site the picture was created by a man named Charlie White and the photo first hit the Net in 2003.

Yes we know. The answer has already been shown a couple times in this thread.... It's a picture done by an artist and it even hung in a museum in New York.

They were prawns in District 9. That doesn't look like a prawn.
Looks lizardy to me.

I've wondered about that picture as well. But with the kids playing with
it and poking a stick at it-has the look of authenticity anyways.
That's what kids would do...

Bet that kid would be crapping sticks if that head all of a sudden started screaming.

Totally fake though, saw stories about this several years ago on other websites. I think a lot of things have already been cited though.

I am amazed people dont even read the first page of threads. I think I posted the source within the first 8 posts and then so did a few others.

The pic might be fake but it was fun to look and it looked very real to me and scary thanks for posting it ive never seen it before it was interesting..
