While I don't necessarily disagree with you, it makes it very difficult to take people seriously when they use communism, socialism, and Marxism interchangeably. They're different things. There are some commonalities, yes, but they are different things.

thats nothing new on this site people are so wrapped up with their heads in text book definftions they dont even bother to see what the real life examples are.

it is a fact they borrow ideals and practices from each other and like i said different shades of the same thing.

My favorite meme surfaced shortly after Obama was elected....I saw hundreds, if not thousands, of posts on internet forums and comment sections on news sites that were something to the effect of "Obama is a socialist/fascist." ...not one or the other....but both at the same time. What are they teaching in schools these days, exactly?

No, it IS false. Do you understand how capital gains taxes work? Secondly, there already existed several substantial loopholes for this kind of thing in the tax code anyway, so only a very small percentage of people would have to pay this tax in the first place, and only people that are making huge gains on home sales. That's not too many people these days. Yes, the thresholds were lowered, but that's not the point of this thread.....the OP stated that there was a straight-up 3.8% tax on home sales. There isn't. It's a right-wing fallacy. Move on. You're wrong.

You need to post some unbiased, credible links before you continue this.

Stomp your foot and shout NO! all you want, Rumplestiltskin, facts are facts. Your messiah is a liar and a crook.

Well, yes and no, but Fascism, at its core, is decidedly anti-communist and anti-socialist....in terms of a 'pure' ideology, they're opposite ends of the spectrum. Now, just as with any system, the 'on the ground' reality can look much different.... but I'm not sure I'd call some kind of blending (as we sometimes see now) either socialism or fascism....just as I wouldn't call green either red or blue.

This should be pretty easy for you to prove. Provide text from the bill that shows it.

When you're in a hole, quit digging.

Socialism and communism aren't the same things.

No: but to accept the philosophies of one is at the very least a "baby" step on the road to the other. I draw a line: the (so called) "progress" stops before it gets all the way to "socialism,.and finally breeds communism.
