Perhaps they are worried that we may derail their particular "plans" for how our country should be ran. We don't need any ideas or plans. Our constitution has all that nailed down already. There are way too many breaches of our rights and constitution. This is no theory, it is happening right this very moment everywhere you look. Americans are not the brainless cattle that they want us to be. And perhaps the violence they are concerned with is what we call a "revolution".

From the Abstract:
"Many millions of people hold conspiracy theories...Those who subscribe to conspiracy theories may create serious risks, including risks of violence, and the existence of such theories raises significant challenges for policy and law. The first challenge is to understand the mechanisms by which conspiracy theories prosper; the second challenge is to understand how such theories might be undermined. Such theories typically spread as a result of identifiable cognitive blunders, operating in conjunction with informational and reputational influences. A distinctive feature of conspiracy theories is their self-sealing quality. Conspiracy theorists are not likely to be persuaded by an attempt to dispel their theories; they may even characterize that very attempt as further proof of the conspiracy. Because those who hold conspiracy theories typically suffer from a “crippled epistemology,” in accordance with which it is rational to hold such theories, the best response consists in cognitive infiltration..."

ok...so if EVERY conspiracy out there is the result of "cognitive blunders", then what the hell is he worried about?
Or is theorizing extremism now?

He thinks shutting down websites like ATS would effect us? C'mon now we would just start a new website. Nothing will ever stop the free flow of information, this is after all the information age. And if governments decided to shut down the internet there would be a huge uprising and destroy all they worked for, 'control'.

You are all being paranoid.

No one gives a crap about a site like this.

As far as everyone is concerned the normal world has no interest in ATS. Its still considered a joke amoung the living. I don't tell people I have joined purely so I don't become the loser at work.

We all know Mr Sunstein and he is part joke and part nomad. Next week he will be looking into piracy sites.

The people on ATS are so up their own asses think the government gives two craps about people who are in the most part unemployed with too much time on their hands.

There is no one trying to get YOU!!

You couldn't be more wrong.

First of all, your post is essentially meaningless puffery and ad hominim. Shaming tactics, ridicule, "If you do this, people will think such-and-such about you," and so on. Guess what: That's wearing off. You can only push that button so often before it loses effectiveness. Fail.

Second, yeah, a lot of people here are unemployed or otherwise disenfranchised by the System. But here's another wakeup call: That's a pretty good description for a bigger and bigger and bigger piece of America. Financial troubles and unemployment are not just for the lazy anymore (if they ever were, which I don't believe anyway) -- you have millions of people who are actually smart, talented, hard workers, maybe educated, maybe self-educated, lots of go-getters and entrapreneurs and loyal companymen and mom-and-pop-store peope: All out of work or facing poor business, etc. So that's no longer a badge of shame. Fail.

Third, I know personally there are people who use this site for various reasons who do have money and are rich or otherwise powerful. For various reasons. Some are on the "other side," like Sunstien and friends. But there are people like my boss (who I got to read this site! Yay!) who are successful independent businessmen or others who stand to be screwed over by TPTB. Also the news here is second-to-none, even if you have to pick through a lot of garbage to get the diamond lol. So that = Fail, too.

folks you do realize that Sunstein was directly linked
to Soros in my "wikileaks exposed- the man behind the NWO"
thread last year. This thread was attacked relentlessly.
I wonder why ??? lol

My thread linked meetings at the WH between
Sunstein and Soros on at least 7 different
occasions between 2007 and 2009.

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/d74e9ed1a4bd.jpg[/atsimg]

That thread also implicated Sunstein and Soros
in the creation or hijacking of Wikileaks. Also
implicated Soros funding for wikileaks. Also,
implicates the CIA's Intellipedia Project.

that thread can be viewed here.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

but I guess Sunstein will say that is a conspiracy theory
as well. No critical thinking skills here.

also boon,

for those who may not know,

Cass Sunstein is married to Samantha Power (one of the "orange" boxes in your diagram) !
married july 4, 2008 !

en.wikipedia.org...

Samantha Power (born September 21, 1970) is an Irish American academic, governmental official and writer. She is currently a Special Assistant to President Barack Obama and runs the Office of Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights as Senior Director of Multilateral Affairs on the Staff of the National Security Council. She is also the Founding Executive Director and the Anna Lindh Professor of Practice of Global Leadership and Public Policy of the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government

does anyone think Samantha is a Soros agent ?

Who is the most famous ex community organiser in the world, tantamount to saying he's an Alinskyist, here's a clue he's a good READER and may or may not have recently had some kind of surgery on his head and he's a relative of the Queen of England.

Want to "dispell" conspiracy theories, Mr. Sunstein?

Prove them wrong, without lying or hiding information.

Oh wait, you can't do those things because our gov't won't release the proper information

This is where I have a problem. It is all too easy to continue to believe in a (false) conspiracy if you hold the view that information is being withheld. If there is no information because there is no conspiracy how can anyone provide information to prove the conspiracy wrong!!!! The whole thing is based on belief.

I cannot and will not reveal anything or much now but as this site is heavily monitored by TPTB and Mr. Sunstein's purpose for wanting to be on this site and being on this site cannot be revealed now.

Hey, if I were a Government official and found a website which is primarily about "bringing down the powers that be" Id consider it the enemy and also infiltrate it.

call my critical thinking skills a bust if you must,
but if his or his colleagues actions here are just
to straighten out false rumors, then I am all for it.

But if his actions here are to spread disinfo to cover-up
illegal activity then he is an accomplice to the
conspiracy and makes him a criminal.

Fine line there Cass

and that would be the train of thought
only IF you were part of TPTB.

The common man who seeks the truth
would NOT view that as sinister.

Samantha Powers is also a key (that's 'master' key) foreign adviser to Obama, and is also responsible for his decisions/plans regarding Libya. She is a big player in the U.S.'s current military build up in the ME.

Plus, given her Irish roots/heritage, could she also be the key to Obama's recent love affair with Ireland? It totally makes sense if rumors are correct, in her being the most likely candidate for Hillary's replacement, in Obama's lead up to 2012!

Sam and Sass could quite possibly end up being the most evil couple around. A couple made in heaven, they are NOT - quite the contrary! They're about to make Bill and Hillary look like catholic school girls (in comparison).

Tabloids they keep their eyes on. If these sites (ATS) gain too many readers and/or are too high up any of the Alexa lists, they will begin to go after the advertisers - with very strong fists. They will pull the financial plug by destroying ATS's credibility with current and future advertising partners. If that doesn't work, they will threaten to destroy the advertisers.
