Those terms fairly well cover a large precentage of threads that have appeared within the last year.
Perhaps world conditions and TV vampires and werewolves are to blame.

Obviously, the green light is lite the world over for either senseless chaos, a strong regeneration of religions or increasingly vocals calls for the ETs to land and straighten us out.

The latter two possibilities are actually more or less one in the same and the one we should expect.

To think that we humans are going to pull this world out of the fire is futile.

Of course, the ETs have been expecting this social and cultural implosion as inevitable. Play Book One, old and new parts, having spent its wad. God as Creator is dead. Time for the Reality Folks to land and take us by the hand or nape of the neck if we are reluctant to abid by their will. Resistance if futile. Let's build another pyramid for 'em.
