thanks everyone.

I'm just new & everything seems cramped, I'll read everything Sauron provided to help myself get accustomed here, hopefully I can get along with everybody, & I hope the government isn't reading what I'm gonna post here & track me down (can they?).

Well it helps if you think that they not only can read and track everything you do online, but they actually do. The old days of Freenet and the Internet are over. Welcome aboard. Stay safe.

By the way, are you getting any ash fallout from the new Eritrean eruption? I cannot find any updated news on it.

Assalamu alaikum

Welcome to the AboveTopSecret network we are glad to have you aboard. Seeing as how you are from the currently troubled nation of Bahrain I cannot wait to read some of the information and personal point of view regarding the situation you will graciously provide for us here. Just make yourself at home as we have many of people here from all walks of life and all corners of the globe. I am quite sure you will fit in just great.

@aboutface:
well, nothing reached here yet, though I don't know how long it takes anyway.

@Misoir:
thank you, all I really want to do is for everybody to know what is going on in Bahrain without any distortion, but the place seems interesting so I might get involved in other discussions as well.

Welcome! I look forward to reading what you have to say, especially about events in Bahrain and the ME in general. However, stay safe. You can bet your butt that government officials are able and are probably reading what you post here.

Welcome and welcome..

Now, you're probably closer to Libya than most people on here (what, about 4000km?).. So let us know if you see Gaddafi passing out any viagra to soldiers, because I don't buy it for a second!!!!

Good day...

Welcome! I think it's only fair to warn you that visiting this site can be addictive!

Oh well, now that you're here... too late to warn you.

Be safe & be happy, new friend.

@kyred:
I'll probably be arrested with a bogus charge if they were able to track me down, not that I care, its a risk I'm willing to take, its the price of freedom & equality.

@rstregooski:
don't underestimate those dictators, they'd do anything for power, power, & more power, & they're willing to commit any crime to keep that power, rape is real & its happening in Bahrain too (sadly), but nothing is confirmed yet about using Viagra, but I'm not ruling anything out after what I've seen so far.

@new_here:
it doesn't help that I have an addictive personality, lol.

hello akabh
and welcome.
if you intend talking critically about the current regime, i would suggest you choose your words with discretion and maybe change the odd letter in a word (even spell things backwards) so as not to come to the attention of regime employees. this site is lacking perspectives from many countries and it would be a shame to lose a new member due to censorship your side.
all the very best

@purplemer:
things are less dangerous physically, but people have no opinion whatsoever, unless they want to get arrested.

@Gaussq:
am I the only one from the Arab World? I hope I can provide some perspective if I am, although I have to say I'm not an expert, I just have a love-hate relationship with politics.

@fakedirt:
thanks, good advice, although I don't have to be critical to get arrested these days, all I have to do is be born with a certain accent or be from a certain family.

seems we have some things in common regarding awareness of accents and demographic/family/influence and status considerations!
it may be of benefit to us readers for you to give a short history of your country to bring us up to speed. an overview would be splendid as would your take on the current climate ie the doctors and nurses who are due in court for prosecution by assisting injured protestors.
i watch press.tv while it is still broadcasting in the uk. there is an undercurrent here wishing it to be taken off air and the gubbermint is awaiting a report from OFCOM before deciding what action to take. it would be a sad day to have this option removed from the news menu.
i do understand that the regime is resisting the majorities efforts for greater freedoms.
regards
f

@fakedirt:
I'll start a thread once I reach 20 posts, & I'll try to update it daily, I have a lot of articles & videos from the start of the revolution till the current day, & I'll try to post the critical ones, as well as a brief history of the country itself.

today is a significant day, a lot of people will gather in a certain village demanding reforms after not being able to have a place to gather for a few months, some people might not make it alive or unarrested, wish us luck, & try to spread the message.
