UPDATE 07:22 UTC : USGS has recalculated the theoretical MMI values without altering the initial magnitude and depth parameters but based on a recalculation of the epicenter location. Although still dangerous, the present picture of the human impact of the earthquake is far better than the initial values which climbed to an exceptional IX value
