The title pretty much sums up what it is that I would like for each of you to contribute to this thread. If you are not able to hold your tongue and wish to go off on a rant, please take it elsewhere, otherwise, please honor the rules of decorum and just post your answer.

I do not wish for this to become a thread of debates, just simple answers will do. I am quite curious as to the answers to this question, "What has Obama done that you, as an individual, would thank him for?"

Thank you, Obama, for spending trillions of dollars, burdening my children and I with an incredible weight surpassing that of your predecessor. Thank you, Obama, for taking advantage of those with misfortunes, promising a bright future and a better quality of life, and then providing the opposite. Thank you, Obama, for expanding our wars and causing the death of Americans and others across the globe. Most of all, thank you, Obama, for continuing the recent tradition of destroying the constitution and all principles this country is founded on. God bless America.

For waking most of America up to the fact that socialism doesn't work. And for revealing the fact that Democrats have no idea what they are doing.

Please explain the transparency that you refer to. I don't want to debate as I said previous, however, what you have said leaves a lot to decipher.

I agree with most all of those above and would like to add, thank you for showing me just how owned the MSM is and how well they can be played. And thank you for showing the rest of the US that black racism is alive and well, no matter how often it is denied.

Although I'm not an Obama fan, there are somethings I give him credit for.

Allowing children to stay on their parent's insurance program until the age of 26.
Most kids coming out of college can't find work (especially now, because of the economy) and some will get
jobs that don't offer health coverage. It at least helps them get on their feet.

Reigning in ridiculous credit card fees and questionable predatory bank practices. Although I avoid using credit cards, I'm always reading their fine print when I receive offers in the mail. Banks will try the sleaziest ways to get unsuspecting people who don't read the fine print into financial trouble.

Making sure Insurance companies can't deny health insurance to people who have pre-existing conditions. Although I feel the final healthcare bill still needs to be refined, requiring people to purchase health care is wrong.

I have to give thanks directly to Obama for my understanding of layering and forging documents. I was clueless before, but after many months and dozens of threads on his birth certificate, I am now well versed in the forging of one said birth certificate. Or has it been three now?

Either way, Obama has given me a greater understanding of document forgery. Thanks Obama!

Oh come on.... give me credit where credit it is due.

But seriously though, I'll admit... The man has not done all that much that I am thankful for. that is not to say that I do not like him as president...

I would say, thanks for ending combat missions in Iraq and sending troops home, but I will hold that thanks until ALL troops are home from that entire area.

Thank you President Obama for reminding me that you can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time.

Well to respond to your thread in a serious manner, I would have to think back to the day he was elected, and go forward. In all honesty when I ask myself am I personally better off now than the day Obama was elected?
The answer, sadly, is no. As a result, I don't have anything to thank him for as an individual.

Thank you for giving ATS a lot of threads like this one.

Life without Obama would be boring.
