New Egypt? 7,000 civilians jailed since Mubarak fell

www.mcclatchydc.com

Egypt's military rulers told human rights advocates Monday that at least 7,000 civilians have been sentenced to prison terms by military courts since Hosni Mubarak was ousted — an astoundingly high number likely to fuel debate over how much the revolution has changed the country.

Advocates said the military promised to review the cases and vacate any improper guilty verdicts and commute the sentences. But the advocates voiced skepticism and demanded more information about civilians in military

This is a tough issue in a region that is teetering on the edge of utter chaos. Ousting Mubarek had to be swift and certain while a blind eye and a slow hand has been applied to other countries in the region that are guilty of far more than what was done under the Mubarek regime. This type of jailing of political rebels and protestors was one of the reasons why Mubarek was forced to resign. It's still the same game with a different set rule makers.

Libya, Syria, Yemen take note of what is happening in Egypt because this same treatement will be on your door step soon enough. The "plan" is rapidly unfolding with the passage of each day.

The "plan" was to destabilize the middle east.....and yes its working very well.

The US government must be very proud that they have fooled so many sheeple into believing their lies.

Remove anyone from power who doesnt want to trade oil in dollars. Imagine if the dollar was no longer used for such comodities.....the USA would be a third world country within months as would the majority of the western world.

We must destroy all of them or they will have all the power and money....thats the way our governments think!

Hello, earth to Obama.

Wow! It's almost as if the plan is coming together. Just mind numbing. Just think, all Obama wants is pat on the head and a scratch behind the ears for all of the good work he has done with our domestic economy and then turns around with BS like this and also the talk to make a loan to the Greek govt. OOOF!!!
