I've never seen this before. A huge cloud "cylinder" parallel to the ground, rotating. I imagine that it's from 2 fronts colliding. good thing this didn't happen on May 21st...

Huh how weird... When I first read your thread I thought, oh come on it's just going to be your typical funnel cloud.

But that is really cool. I am guessing it is just the very front end of a storm front rolling in.

Keep an eye out for ozweatherman, he will know for sure what this is. I am sure it is quite normal. Maybe rare but I bet the answer is a logical one.

Now try and say weather manipulation does not exist.

I watched the video...never saw a cloud like that one before. I'd probably want to videotape it as well if I saw that thing coming at me! It's horizontal and a good thing, perhaps? It was very, very long.

They are called Roll Clouds. I can't say that I wouldn't think the end of the world was coming if I saw one of those roll in!

This is an image of a rolling cloud in Enschede (where I live) the Netherlands in 2004. I have got images too, but not as good as this one. This one even made it to Wikipedia Netherlands

It was definitely awesome to see, but nothing happened! it just rolled over!

HA! I got a good chuckle out of that one.

@OP: At first it looked like a few search lights (spot lights?) following each other, but I will have to check the video out in more detail when I get access to my other computer.
