Nearly $1 million from Goldman Sachs (GS), over $700,000 from Citigroup (C), $695,132 from JPMorgan Chase (JPM) and $514,818 from Morgan Stanley (MS).

These are some of the top donations from big bank employees, their immediate family members and political action committees to Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign

Obama is, after all, the president who reserved positions in his cabinet to members of the American financial elite like Larry Summers as Director of the White House National Economic Council, General Electric (GE) CEO Jeffrey Immelt as head of the Council on Jobs and Competitiveness and William M. Daley, former banking executive with service to JPMorgan Chase, as Chief of Staff.

but then agian obama raise $750 million to $1 billion that amount of money raised tells me that not too many people donated to him

don't blame the player, blame the game. it's the system that's screwed up, not obama.

if a billionaire finances his own campaign, and owes nothing to nobody, the media and everyone else already start accusations that he's trying to buy the whitehouse.

the fact is more money, gives you more opportunities to reach as many people as possible. that's why campaign contributions are allowed.

another fact is why would anybody in congress kill the golden goose. nobody would have a penny to run.

second, the $10,000 a plate dinners candidates hold every week, are even more shady than open contributions by banks.

it's another way lobbyists and corporation funnel money and corrupt candidates.

What a sad state of affairs. I remember when $750 million to $1 billion was alot of money for a presidential candidate.

you change the game by looking at voting records... FINALLYYYYYY
something that very few people do
so this requires being discontent with some of the players

Politics in the states is completely corrupted, to the point of making the votes nothing more than a shell game.

I recently just watched a movie called "Casino Jack"

www.youtube.com... , it is related to casino gambling and the lobbyist involved in that part of government, taking that and applying ANY other interest and you can quickly see how un-important the general public is in the grand scheme of voting.

The system is severely corrupt and needs to be rebooted in every sense of the word, but I personally think it aint gonna happen.

I think that we can prove that time travel is in fact possible, because every four years, no matter what goes on in the rest of the world, no matter what goes on in the USA, no matter how many stupid, crooked, low-life political scandals occur, no matter how many times elections are bought and sold, RIGHT OUT IN THE OPEN, we get back to November four years later and Hocus Pocus, no matter how many steps we think we've taken forward, we are exactly back in the same place we started four years before! The only Universal constants I can actually believe in are #1 E=MC2 and #2 We get the best government money can buy !!!!!!!
