Nothing wrong with getting a Mac.

Of course you'll be paying extra for the privilege of owning a Mac.

Personally I'd rather have better hardware.

I'd get a Intel Core i7 pc with 4 gigs of ram at min.
If you have to go with a laptop you can get a Core i7 laptop with win 7 for under 1grand.
A Mac will cost you more.

The cost of upgrading to a MacBook pro was a little high, but once I compared the ease of operation and the usefulness of the technology, I found that it was well worth the price.
Take time to compare the models for sale and what you require before making your purchase, but I can honestly say that it is well worth the price tag.

The only time I would ever recommend a Mac to somebody is if they're severely technology-challenged, have no desire to learn to use it, and have a ton of money to spend. There's nothing a Mac can do that a Windows machine can't.
