In the above video, members of the Bilderberg group do something they normally do not do: And that is, venture away from the hotel grounds during conference season.

Upon doing so, they were met with protesters in the streets, which quickly caused them to retreat back to the hotel grounds behind security.

I think it's a bit disappointing the conference isn't being met with more interest on ATS. It doesn't seem like that many are concerned. Are we just complacent or feel as if there is nothing we can do about it so why bother?

Regardless, I commend the protesters in the video for at least trying.

I don't know what truly is going on, just as noone else but them do, but I suspect them being given a bad rep, due to being 'rich' ergo they are hated out of jealousy. Maybe there is a few unsavory tactics in their 'plans' but I highly doubt they suck the blood from children and where their skins.

But hey, I could be brainwashed by all the textbooks and movies showing those very examples to be shouted at people with the.. 'power' because they invented something that helped Humanity consume more while the very people protesting, use the very inventions they made.

For me it is not about disgusting behavior or shape shifting lizards, it's simply that bilderberg is undemocratic and highly secretive. Our politiicians bleet to us about transparency in government, yet vist Bilderberg in an official manner to discuss policy with some of the biggest movers and shakers in the world. These politicians show no accountability.

George Osborne travelled in his official position as Chancellor a representative of the British people. Not a private individual Yet this is a secret meeting with no press conference and a mainstream media blackout. Ask why no media outlet has covered this even in the last 50 years. Normally the media would be all over an event, with Royalty, heads of state, corporate bosses, politicians from both sides of the asile whom are meant to hate one another, George Osborne and Peter Mandelson. So why would the media ignore this event to not even send journalists tb cover it?

It's hard to think of good things that get planned in secret.

I thought it was the principle that our so called elected leaders are getting together with the worlds greatest corporate leaders and discussing our future behind closed doors.

Bilderburg group isn't just elected officals, although some are there.
its mostly about influencial people.
As far as leaders getting together behind closed doors with corporate leaders..heh, pick any day and go to washington...watch the swarms of lobbiests talking to the politicians...thats the norm.

Now with new laws allowing corporations to anonymously donate any amount of money to political campaigns (just passed in florida), the government (american) is no longer for the people...period.

Me and my 20$ contribution towards politician X's campaign effort cannot compete with corporation X's 100 million $ donation to the other guy's campaign.

But anyhow, I digress

They are supposed to represent us, so having closed meetings with these people is pretty disgusting.

Although I can't find specific documents at the moment, they don't generally discuss charitable causes, they discuss world affairs and what direction they want to push them in.

We don't know what they are discussing...its a secret meeting overall.
with that understanding, you cannot really say what they are not talking about...hell, they could be exchanging baking recipes, or deciding which politicians will "win" elections where and what policys they will send through...

They probably are discussing some things that, if the general public knew, would make them a bit nervous and perhaps outraged....however, unless there is someone leaking the info and its confirmed...then what good is speculating, and then, why be outraged that..well, basically, rich and powerful people are talking together.

Well, thats good and bad
good...we need a new world order...the current one blows.
the bad though is that since the people cannot have a by and large adult discussion about it to usher it in sensibly, it will of course be imposed on us, with no discussions about how it will be instituted.

I would prefer the whole done through negotiations, freedom, liberty, and commonsense rules of law and preserving identity while the merger happens, however, since we are not discussing it as adults, then, I guess it will be imposed on us without our opinion.

I personally want a new world order...but one that is transparent and working for the betterment of our species. Sad that we cannot discuss it.

It is good for the world (can be).

2). Some feel it violates US laws (The Logan Act, in particular) in that unauthorized citizens my not engage in meeting with foreign individuals to shape affairs (which the BG admittedly does).

So does every business deal from here to eternity. Are these people going as representitives, or as individuals?
Tell me the difference between this, and say, a oil executive meeting on capitol hill with some senator behind closed doors.

3). Has connections (and often members) to central banking.

Yes, they are rich

That's just what I can think of off the top of my head. If they were just meeting to play croquet and sip on mimosas, I wouldn't care too much what they were doing.

I don't doubt that some dodgy dealing -may- be going on there...but its alot of speculation. Yes, these people are coming together for a specific purpose to alter something...but, well, maybe its a good thing after all.
Do you think someone in backwoods arkansas or in the jungles of the congo knows what is best for the world?

I am certainly not saying to trust these people...but perhaps we do need to elect a committee of the wisest, intelligent, and technically skilled people to transparently discuss the merging of the world under a new order to benefit all the people and progress our species...a counter to this and transparent to the world.

Well we do have a pretty good idea as since 1955 documents have been leaked and some attendees have discussed the meetings. Generally they discuss world policy. In 1955 a single european currency was discussed, soon after it began to be implemented. There's a pretty even ratio of prominent politicians and business leaders there.

One of the attendees this year was questioned as to what they discussed;

One activist, Ali Aslan, walked alongside Enders, the Airbus boss, and asked him what was being discussed at this year's conference. "Nothing bad," said Enders. "We are just making our agendas." (This was the German word used: agenda – the same as in English). "I don't understand," said Alsan.

"There are politicians inside. Why are we not allowed to know what you're talking about?" Enders smiled and said: "I don't have to tell you, and you don't need to know." And with that, he and his fellow delegates ducked beneath the security cordon, into the blessed safety of Bilderberg.

That's not at all arrogant is it? Our politicians are discussing 'agendas' with corporate, unaccountable entities but they don't have to tell us.

1). *IF* a NWO is implemented (which I am personally against), it at least needs to be done with transparency, elected officials, and legally. Not behind closed doors, in secret meetings, with individuals never approved by the people. Just because one is wealthy or 'in the inner circles' shouldn't give one the power to direct affairs.

2).

Senators are not foreign agencies. Yes, I do believe such meetings are wrong. However, that is the difference you asked for. The Logan Act specifies foreign interactions.

3). Central banking has nothing to do with just being rich. I'm not an 'eat the rich!' person. However, central banking can be immensely destructive to a nation.

There is no if about it...it will be implemented, by voting, or by selection from the powerful.
and the leaders will either be known and well regarded, or hidding behind giant corporations.

I prefer the voting/regarded version personally.
I agree with you, however, I am not sure our typical voting process is the best...we as average individuals lack the distance thinking in order to make good decisions...we would vote in someone promising us all ferrari's tomorrow verses the person with a slow but great vision on unification. the mass are "eaters" whom will simply vote in whomever gives the most handouts.

So, what is the alternative then...if voting is made of fail for long term projects, yet clandestine overthrowing of the global power is unwise and unwanted, what possible 3rd option for this is there...seems there is only 2 roads, and any fork has at least 3...

I could agree with this, the point is no one in their right minds would vote for Kissinger, Rockefeller, Peter Mandelson and George Osbourne(to name a few), to a committee of the wisest. They are there because they are cunning and motivated by the power. A transparent system would also have to include members from all nations and cultures not just a dominant western representation. Until that happens I will always be sceptical of the bilderberg group and its intentions. The level of secrecy and MSM blackouts just makes me question their intentions further.
