Just come across this, been available since the end of April, so if I missed a previous thread..shut it down!

I couldn't think of what way to describe it besides 'google earth format' but it's called the LROC QuickMap.

Similar to google maps.

Yes, that's part of the ongoing process to compile the higher resolution images to 3D mapping. The first 3D mapping of the LRO were low resolution of about 100 meters per pixel, now they are working to get the high resolution images set to the Altimeter data. This poorly ending video is a nice overview of part of the process.
