The same reason the sun rotates around the Earth.

The human ego craving fear to pump up with adrenaline.

Simple, the same reason we give a crap about them when we don't even know if they are coming here or not.

That's pretty much the answer:

They don't give a crap (except maybe for some organs, blood and tissue and cells, maybe our DNA too for hybrids). But because they don't that's why they don't show to us in person not because they don't exist.

that's what i'm thinking too. but i guess they're just curious about us humans on how we live. or it could also be that they wanted to come live with us. perhaps we just thought of them as something that is bad. (hopefully, they're not!)

Why do charities help Africa? there of little help to us, because we care? if we were advanced as "aliens" and found a planet with primitive intelligent life, sure as well i would help them.

The only thing I can think of is they might want to study us for their quest for knowledge of the universe and it's inhabitants.

Other than that, what else is there?
Maybe our resources? highly unlikely.
I mean, why go through the trouble of stealing our planet for it's resources, when there is likely millions of planets
with the same resources that might be uninhabited and pristine.

Perhaps they want to just destroy us for fun, but in that case they wouldn't particularly "give a crap" about us.

Because they love our art.Idk...Probably because we might be the first life they ever seen instead of there planet.Or they are using us as lab rats to test new medicines.

And the Aliens can be Held off by our pathetic Human weapons because...?

Plasma beams???? Maybe??? 10,000 degrees hot. My wild imagination there.....

We've done that already, during a shuttle mission (sts48 i think), 2 plasma weapons fired at 2 ufo's that came within 15 miles.
I really am surprised they didn't shoot back, i would have

our brains are tasty, and they've got straws.

from the little i know about astronomy, seems like earth is a bit of an oasis.
wether they want our dna or our resources or maybe they're just curious, i don't know .
maybe they're wondering what these odd looking bi-peds that have taken over their planet are.

but i'm going with 'they made us and are keeping tabs on us' idea.

I dont Know if this has been posted or not, but I believe they started giving a crap when we started testing atomic energy.

Atomic energy apparently doesn't only affect our earth but it reaches out and continues it's momentum way out into space affecting everything out there, including most probably their propulsion systems. If I'm them? I would be curious too about where these sudden bursts of energy are originating from.
