The U.S. capitalist love affair with Communist China

The bigger surprise is the huge affection U.S. capitalists have for Communist China.

“When I go to China, I find more people in government who are interested in learning about the things that private equity can do to help an economy and help companies than you often do in Washington,” David Rubenstein, co-founder and managing director of Carlyle Group, one of the world’s largest private equity firms, said in an interview this week.

The content of his remarks is conventional wisdom among U.S. business people today: it is a truth universally acknowledged that China – with its censorship, central plan and one-party state – is a better place to do business than the United States.

We used to think that capitalism and democracy went together; that was the premise behind much of the U.S.-led global nation-building effort of the past two decades. But it has become commonplace to hear the most successful American business people assert that the world’s great power that most explicitly rejects democracy – China – is also the most business-friendly.

Thought this was good. It's the capitalists...the ones at the very top...that have sold us out to communist China...many of whom at the same time scream about any hint of socialism and the destruction of our social programs here in the US.

Both Republicans and Democrats opened up free trade with China through the lobbying of transnational corporations and it has simply destroyed our manufacturing industries...along with the jobs and good wages that went with them.

There are a few who are fighting to change those policies in government...but not nearly enough.

Why? Because most are all bought off by the corporations who benefit from Communist China's labor.

Corporations are bringing in RECORD PROFITS....yet not hiring anyone in the US. If these corporations had any true allegiance TO OUR COUNTRY...they would have fought to TARIFF IMPORTS THAT THEY WERE IN COMPETITION WITH.

I dont think China has much in common with communism, except in name and being a dictatorship. All those private western companies are not there because of love for the proletariat. I believe the best description of Chinas actual regime is "state capitalism".
