So let's say everything does crash, are you in a better place?

Most people wouldn't even know what to do, so TPTB will come up with another plan and set of rules for the sheep to follow.

If people have victim mentalities, that is all they will ever be.

This may sound very insignificant and obsolete but if the 1937 Marijuana Tax Act (amongst other very silly laws that do nothing but waste tax payers dollars) had never been put into place, maybe the Obama's, the Bush's, the Mellon family and all the other greedy bastards that are/have ruined our economy wouldn't have the upper hand. Those are just a few names...the list goes back a hundred years of pure greed and the beginning of the end!

I don't see legalization as a means to the end of our current economic situation, however, it sure as hell (oops) would help out if these narrow minded idiots would free up some "cheese" (cash that is) and let people earn a living while helping millions of American Citizens! Seems to be okay however, for the Big Pharms to produce "Marinol", which is nothing more than synthetic THC:

Boy....I gotta tell ya, every time I give a thought to how screwed up the economy is, it really burns a hole inside. So many fixes...yet the Bull$hite!$ seem to outnumber logic and reason every step of the way for a form of "self gain".

Seriously? Notice how the poorest states are majority conservative?
I have a different take on the civil war. When Lincoln freed the slaves capitalism was born. Now we're all slaves to the mighty dollar. The rich own everything including you and I. For the lower 50% income people in this country all we do is make other people money doing crappy jobs.

My cousin makes minimum wage $7.50 an hour. After he buys gas pays auto insurance and puts food on the table then he's broke. He spends all of his money just so he can make to work. In the end he just gives it all back. Basically he working for nothing.

Get it straight, nothing what we have now is what I would consider Capitalism (government intervention is all we have at the moment, what we have had for decades)

the hidden 800 pound monkey are the $600 Trillion in derivatives that need to be unwound as debt instruments....

most all the original '10' are actually symptoms... or results of the Casino Derivatives out there ,,,

right now the EUro union is desperately trying to sidestep the Billions bet on the Default of Greece
they have to find a loophole to swap the Greek bonds for new Issued (voluntary swapped) bonds that dont have credit defaults attached to them... IF these money changers can concoct a flanking action which makes the 'derivatives' worthless, then much of the accrued 'Debt' will completely Vanish...
and people and governments might still have a future that the Banksters don't own
and a country that can rely on its natural resources.

Those who voted for and support Mr. hussein soetoro obama must be extremely proud of themselves and gratified with the hope and change he made a reality. The destruction of the US economy is right on schedule in accordance with obama's plan for us.

obama's boss, George Soros, is preparing us for the transition to a one-world socialist government!. All this has been well documented at George Soros' recent Destroy America Conference..

Cass Sunstein, under the supervision of George Soros, is completely re-writing the Constitution and is "paving the way to Communism, the destiny of all mankind!"

me thinks you missed a couple very important indicators.

1) the last 6 weeks, the markets have closed
down for the weekends.

2) 40 Wall Street Bankers have been
indicted for insider trading and more to follow.

3) Nobody can tell who to trust anymore

or did I miss those in your top ten list ??

And just as a heads up:
If Wall Street crashes,
so will the Fed Res AND
the US Dollar.

Perhaps a comment?
Wall Street has bigger ties with foreign markets right now. I'm over seas. The trend I see is not the dollar tracking with the market but the euro. When Wall Street falls, the dollar increases. The converse is also true.

Wall Street isn't tied to the dollar like it once was. the Bush/Obama bailouts enabled foreign markets more than domestic ones.

Which leads m to this point, if Wall Street sinks, it'd hurt foreign markets first. They won't let that happen. There is too much that is interconnected to just allow "America" to fail.

Sadly, in the financial scope, there is no America anymore.

Every indicator I watch, and I watch and integrate vastly more than most people do, has been heading south for months now. I had been giving the US perhaps 2-4 years before total collapse, but now the time frame seems to have shrunk to months. Six months to a year perhaps.

The weather changes are the primary drivers in my opinion: too many natural disasterss in too broad an area over too short a time frame. The infrastructure in the US has been neglected, patched, band-aided, but never fixed for three or four decades now, and can't be made up in time to save much.

The financial structures are just as bad, and new diseases are emerging due to climate change: there's been a huge increase in what they've been calling "food poisoning" over the past few months that represents a new unidentified bug, a new mrsa is in Irish cow's milk....the list keeps going on.

The heat wave assailing the east of the country will eventually break the power grid sometime this summer, and with a few million, hot, desperate, hungry, and pissed-off people will most likely result in extreme turmoil on many different levels.

The picture is as bleak as ever I've seen it. Things are spinning down fast, and the pace accelerates daily. This is what happens when sociopaths overload the top ranks of society: they don't, they can't, literally can't care what happens; their brains aren't wired for it, so don't expect any miraculous changes anytime soon, they will continue to play their delusional games til the end.

So what to do?

I offer an open invitation to compatible ATS'ers to form a new tribe in Southern California.

Let's pool resources and buy a piece of land with water and form a self-sufficient community.

My resources:

A huge library of real books: ~1700, covering every imaginable subject area.

A table saw, lots of camping gear, various hand tools, two truckloads of custom-built dirt, seed stock for medical grows, shovels, picks, and other gardening tools, plus the usuall accouterments of modern life.

I have 14 years experience in medical grows and more in general gardening, many and varied skillsets accumulated over an interesting lifetime.

My brother has a huge music library, and the substantial remains of a sports cards business, some extra wheelchairs (he's disabled, post-polio), crutches, etc.

Anyone interested U2U me and we can talk.

Get your facts straight. There's no MRSA coming from Irish milk.

During this study, Holmes team found that the new MRSA strain was resistant to some drugs, like normal MRSA, but it was also impossible to identify using standard molecular tests. These tests work by detecting the presence of the gene which makes the bug resistant to methicillin, called the mecA gene.

When another team of researchers decoded all the genes in the bacteria's DNA, they found that the new strain does have a mecA gene, it is only 60 percent similar to the "normal" MRSA mecA gene, meaning it can't be detected with standard tests.

In further research, scientists then found that the new strain was also present in human samples from Scotland, England and Denmark -- some from screening tests and others from people with MRSA disease. It has also since been identified in Ireland and Germany, they said in their study.

"From a food safety point of view, we are confident that the discovery of this MRSA in milk does not represent any disease risk," Holmes said in a statement about the findings.

We as a country are in deep do do when it comes to our banking system. The PTB are raking their money off the top of hugh mass's and we are the ones who are going to have to re-pay. We should have stayed on the Gold Reserve and we would not be in this crap we are in. IMHO

I do not understand what you are trying to convey....by saying..."...airy fairy psychics..would stop using.." that statement makes no sense to me...however your sarcasm does come across. You are certainly entitled to your opinion....

Well this is just wonderful, especially considering i literally just started investing last week on Ameritrade :/ Oh well, hopefully a collapse will lead to a less corrupt system that benefits all, not just a select few.
