Of course.

Yesterday :
China to neighbors: Stop search for Spratlys oil

China is warning Asian countries with rival claims to the Spratly Islands to stop searching for oil in the disputed territory, saying that Beijing will assert its sovereignty in the South China Sea.

The envoy also says that China wouldn’t use force unless its ships came under attack.

China won't use force unless it's ships are under attack right?

Well you are doing everything you can so it'll be the case...
China boats violate Vietnam sea, cut cables again

A Chinese fishing ship accompanied by two Chinese fishery administration vessels on Thursday morning violated Vietnamese sovereignty and deliberately cut exploration cables belonging to a Vietnamese state-owned ship, just days after a similar incident.

Yeah Vietnam would have done that to you, you would have sunk their ship.

China saying how they are so peaceful while doing this kind of crap...

I bet the Vietnamese are telling them to come back for round two of their butt whopping they handed the Chinese years ago when China was acting so tough. China should know better that to piss these guys off again. The Vietnamese did not once use their main army to fight the Chinese either, it was the Vietcong that kicked their butt bad while the main army units fought in Cambodia.

I'm guessing this is South Korea but wouldn't North Korea also have a claim to that area seeing as how they are using the Continental Shelf as a border line??

And now this...

China accuses Vietnam in South China Sea row

China has accused Vietnam of "gravely violating" its sovereignty in an escalating row over disputed waters in the South China Sea.

Beijing said Vietnam had endangered Chinese sailors' lives and warned it to stop "all invasive activities".

China's foreign ministry spokesman Hong Lei said Chinese fishing boats were chased away by armed Vietnamese ships on Thursday.

He said that during the incident the fishing net of one of the Chinese boats became tangled with the cables of a Vietnamese oil exploring vessel which continued to drag the Chinese vessel for more than an hour before the net had to be cut.

China insists the Vietnamese vessel was operating illegally in the area.

"By conducting unlawful oil and gas surveys in seas around the Wanan Bank of the Spratly archipelago and by driving out a Chinese fishing vessel, Vietnam has gravely violated China's sovereignty and maritime rights," said Mr Hong.

Now that's funny. That's China causing trouble and they blame Vietnam...

Of course China says it was ``unlawful oil and gas surveys``... they think that they own it all.

If this had been a US ship that had cut the Viets cable these boards would be lit up. But when a thread about China being the aggressor shows up you get a whopping 3 stars, talk about your hypocrits.

Vietnamese Authorities Allow Second Anti-China Protest in Hanoi

Vietnamese authorities have allowed a second anti-China protest over a territory dispute in the South China Sea.

On Sunday, nearly 200 hundred demonstrators assembled outside the Chinese Embassy in Hanoi.

The protesters chanted “Down with China!” and carried banners with Vietnamese slogans reading—“The Spratlys and Paracels belong to Vietnam,” referring to archipelagos in the South China Sea.

Interesting that they say ``allowed a protest``...

Vietnam consider military call-up

The Vietnamese Prime Minister, Nguyen Tan Dung, has issued a decree about a potential military call-up -- amid rising tensions with Beijing, over disputed territory in the South China Sea.

The decree outlines who would be exempt from the draft, if war breaks-out.

When you are thinking about a draft, it's quite serious.

Yeah but the Philippines receives billion of $ from China. The government has been bought.

China rebukes US over South China Sea disputes

China criticized the U.S. on Tuesday over a senator's call for multilateral negotiations to resolve festering territorial disputes in the South China Sea.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei said only those countries with territorial claims in the vast resource-rich waters should get involved in such discussions.

"We hope countries not related to the disputes over the South China Sea will respect the efforts of directly related countries to resolve the issue through direct negotiations," Hong told a regularly scheduled news conference.

And this is nice :

South China Sea: Hanoi and Washington to hold joint naval drill

Vietnam will hold joint naval drills with the United States next month, a move that could further stoke tensions with China over the South China Sea. Meanwhile, Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung issued a decree about a potential military call-up, which outlines who would be exempt from the draft in case of war. Vietnam’s last war was with China in 1979.

Confirmation of the exercises came as Hanoi completed a live-fire exercise off its central coast last night, deemed routine by the Vietnamese but denounced by Chinese analysts as a provocation and a show of force.

Ji Qiufeng, a professor at Nanjing University's school of foreign relations, said Beijing needs to make it clear to Vietnam that “any challenge to China's sovereignty over the South China Sea cannot succeed”.

Taiwan to join the mix too.
Taiwan navy prepares missions to contested waters

Taiwan's navy said Tuesday it would not scrap scheduled patrol missions to disputed islands in the South China Sea, despite a flare-up of regional tensions in the contested waters.

The routine missions, which take place at least three times a year, will bring a naval fleet to Taiwan-controlled Taiping, the biggest island in the Spratlys, and the Pratas archipelago. China also claims the islands.

Get a grip! How many years ago was that? China is a different country to what it was then. No country would want to go to war with China.

And this "China is evil" propaganda crap is doing my head in! Yeah, we see china going in to other countries killing thousands of people just for oil. Yeah, we see that all the time don't we!

Some people can't handle the fact that the next super power is a communist state. I mean, alot of people have been brainwahsed to believe that communitsts are the devils of this world. Some people have such weak minds!
