Not sure if this is out of line BUT please tell me that the template that you have now is not the template that you plan to use in the production of
I build websites for a living and can tell you that the amount of "metal" that you have on this website is way too much and "drowns" the
I see that you are using www.concrete5.org...
as your CMS and most likely this is just a template that is found within it and while concrete5
claims to be a "CMS made for Marketing but built for Geeks" it is really hard to rank in google with concrete5.
I am currently building realtyblok.com...
for a real estate client. Notice how the "gallery" of houses stands out, not to mention that this
website automatically posts anything posted to the website on twitter, the contact forms that stand out, the sidebar on the right etc...
You see, you WANT the gallery of his work to stand out so as soon as a visitor gets to your site their eyes are automatically drawn to his pieces.
Also, you might want to consider dumping concrete5 altogether and use something that you have the most control over, like wordpress!
Another example of mine that has a nice carrousel for the pictures on the home page would be yaptalk.tk...
(Please note that this website is not completed as it needs a few tweaks to go before "launch" this week)
See how the carrousel stands out as well as all of the other pictures below it? See the "flow" of the website?
You want to make it easy for your web visitor to go from visit to purchase and that is the flow of it.
Another thing that you are missing is an email capture form, so you could capture the emails of your visitors and keep them "updated" as to any new
pieces that are created and as any internet marketing person knows, the money is in the list since now you have an opted in email list that you can
market to at any time! (free tip)
The theme that you are using from concrete5 ("dark chocolate") is missing a ton of things that would bring your site from mediocre to great!
Looking at your source code you are missing meta descriptions, tags and a whole bunch of other things that allows you to rank well.
Another thing, did you do a keyword research to see which keywords you want to rank for? That is another BIG factor when deciding which domain name
you are getting.
Please take this as constructive criticism so you could make a GREAT website!
If you need any help, I'm only a u2u away...
