That's right, over large enough distances. Locally, the speeds we travel at are more than able to overcome any spatial expansion -- especially since, within our galaxy, the expansion of the universe is counteracted by the internal gravitational attraction.

This conversation seems somehow very familiar

W/ out even looking I know the sun didn't move across the sky and you as a person smart enough to use the internet should know that as well. There would be extreme ramifications felt by everyone if that had happened.
