I have not seen a single person on here "defend" the Father.

Every person so far has said that what he did was both morally and ethically wrong,they simply stated that since the act he committed (pasting his daughters photo onto another woman's body) was in fact not a crime that he could not be convicted of the crime he was charged with.

As I stated in a previous post although acquitted of possessing child pornography (maximum of 3 yrs in prison) he will still be serving time for his other crimes which after subtracting 3 yrs from the total 13 years and 4 months still amounts to 10 years and 4 months.

It's not like the acquittal on this charge is going to set this guy free or anything.

If he was convicted of actually creating the modified images and publishing them, I'd say this would fall under some category of child endangerment and mental/sexual abuse, but that's about where it ends - this isn't a CP case.

Remember, the article in question states that these images were on a private computer but not made public. Although, now that they are known to exist, this obviously causes some mental trauma for the girl. Plus the fact that he asked her to strip down in photos probably carried some form of sexual abuse charges.

Ya, I wouldn't be surprised if this guy had a stash of actual CP on one of his hard drives (no pun intended) and a 4Chan fetish, but that's his own problem. The fact that he's twisted in the head (however you want to look at it) is a freedom people are allowed to have here in the United States and isn't illegal (yet) nor should it ever be.

The part where the father gave her drugs isn't really up for debate. That's really the big issue here.

I think most people would happily draw the line at making it illegal to manufacture images of children in sexually explicit acts, in any context.
In fact, many countries have bans on importing the Anime you mention. The cut and paste job the father did in the OP, has also seen people arrested and charged for manufacturing child pronography.

The concept of free speech does not really exist in our countries.
What we have is a concept of what we will tolerate and accept.
We draw the line all the time on hate speech, racism, discrimination so why would we not draw the line at child pornography?

This man is not guilty of thinking about his daughter in a sexual nature, he got caught manufacturing pornographic material to included images of his duaghter.
I have read reports from prosecutors that stated they had seen an increase in this type of material in order for pedophiles to create pornography whilst avoiding charges.

So I think there is a big difference between thinking something, and acting those thoughts out. It was the later that saw this person create problems, not merely his thoughts.

There was a similar case posted on ATS last year, similar circumstances. I'll try and find it.

It's a sin to look at someone sexually whom you are not married to.

But also, you are considered an adult at that age in Judaism. And you can bet before this century people did marry others considered under-aged by modern law.

Anyway, we are not defending him but stating that simulated child pornography is not child pornography.

Please, look up the definition of pedophilia, it is defined as attraction to prepubescent children. Nature also does not wait till 18, contrary to what many people here think. Bottom line is, you ought to wait until the girl is capable of giving informed consent, but that does not mean that attraction to younger girls is not normal. Biologically, it often is.

yes it can be inevitable - why do you think some people kill their children - because they cant take it anymore eventually the thoughts of wanting to strangle that baby will manifest into reality.

this is found in most cases of parents murdering their babies. they just couldn't take it anymore, the screaming, the shouting, the crying, the need of attention.
