Did anyone actually read the article? The father got 13 years for possessing child pornography and supplying a minor with narcotics! He appealed and the appeal court agreed that photoshopping was not a crime. The father will be re-prosecuted. He attempted to coerse his daughter into posing in her underwear and she refused and told her mother.

The article did not state if the father had any actual child porn on his computer. If he did then he needs to be prosecuted for that as well as the supplying charge AND soliciting a child in the commission of a crime (child porn/drug use) as well as attempted coersion of a child to commit incest.

I hope the retrial leads to a longer sentence than the one he is currently serving.

How is that the same thing? A 14 year old boy fantasizing about his 13 year old girlfriend is not the same as a GROWN MAN fantasizing about his 13 year old DAUGHTER. I bet he has molested kids before, because it wasn't just the pictures, but the fact that he actually attempted to get her to undress in "real life"....had she complied, he would have commited a crime because he most certainly would have tried to have sex with her.....that fact alone says he has probably done it before.

It is actually considered OK in lots of developed countries in the world. Even in Brazil, listed as your location, age of consent is 14.

Pedophilia is attraction to prepubescent children. 13 year old girl may be already physically well developed, and it is thus not always abnormal to be attracted to such girls.
