48% of Americans think a Great Depression is coming within a year

Yeah.....and the other 52% are thinking this has something to do with their feelings!!

The US dollar is worth less than the toilet paper in the public bathrooms, so I would start buying
wheel barrows as that is the only way you will get your money to the store to buy that loaf of bread you need
for next weeks dinners.

Where was the option for "currently in a Depression" .. don't see it..

Have you seen Gen y lately? Those guys are having it bad - they are like the silent generation but with ipods.

And look at the foods available; everything is ersatz. Ersatz chocolate, ersatz cooking oil, ersatz cheese, everything a substitute because the average person can't afford to buy the real product. And even then, those ersatz products have been 'downsized'. It is like during a war.

People who play the "we've seen worse and come out the other side OK" card are neglecting the fact that Americans are staring down the barrel of austerity whereas in past tumultuous times the government has actually increased social spending and support for citizen safety nets. This time around the idiots in DC blew their wad on corporate spending and coporate safety nets, leaving the citizens with said austerity to deal with.

We have seen worse times, but we have never seen times this bad with little to no light showing up at the other end of the tunnel.

..and 98% of Americans believe there is another dimension with a magic daddy watching our every move and judging us..and that he has an arch enemy trying to sway us to be bad.. oh and people with wings and other such nonsense.. I'm sure they are right about this one too..
