Wow, well done US Air Force

The US Air Force Thunderbirds F16 demonstration squadron performs in Mihail Kogalniceanu, eastern Romania, Wednesday, June 8, 2011. The southern Romanian air base of Deveselu will be one of the stations for AEGIS ballistic missile defense technology, part of the US missile shield in Europe. The United States and Romania are negotiating the purchase of second-hand F-16 combat aircraft.

I've never actually seen them perform,
Closest I've seen are the red arrows,.. but man, would love to see those F-16's

The planes dont even look be true, look like toys, or some photoshop montage .

I love The Thunderbirds and The Blue Angels.

I have seen both many times in various air shows here in Florida. I guess I am lucky to be near all things space and flight. Last fall we had an air show and the Thunderbirds were here well their test run went right OVER my condo, it scared the crap out of me! It was awesome though I must say. I went out on the back balcony and watched them do their practice runs over the beach.

This years show I will volunteer to work so I can be there up close and personal. I have video of them from the show but I have to edit the sound out unfortunately, some drunk lady ruined all my audio by running her mouth too much and cursing up a storm. I really just wanted to toss her into the ocean or tell her to shut up.

Years ago I got to hang out with the pilots from the Blue Angels at a bar I worked at, they were a lot of fun and looked pretty darn good in their suits

I envy you. Be able to watch it live and have a beach as scenery.

You really are lucky to live in a such place.

I saw the Thunderbirds many years ago as a kid at Pease AFB here in NH, and last summer I saw the Blue Angels at an air show (also at Pease AFB) and it is just mind-numbing the stuff that these guys do.How more of them don't get killed is a mystery to me....

How much did this cost the US taxpayer? What benefit do we get for an air show in Romania? When we go to war with Russia in 20 years over our aggressive posture vis a vis the ex-Warsaw Pact nations, do I get to thank outmoded displays of military propaganda like this?
