they just identified them as male younger possibly influenced by japanese animation with taking the ideal of anonymous from the "laughing man" in the ghost in the shell saga.

and geographic location.

and not to swift to mess with dudes with guns and bombs.

What they say is true: they do not pose a threat to any nation, only to the corrupt leaders of all nations. If they werent corrupt, if they were honest, if they didnt make closed door deals then Anonymous would not have anything to disclose or attack.

The genie is out of the bottle and you cant make Anonymous go away. The leaders have three options: shut down the internet, end corruption or keep things the way they are and deal with Anonymous. Two of these scenarios end with the people getting angry and seizing/realizing their power. The only one that maintains our leaders power is for them to end their own corruption,

I'd say the reason is that they didn't. Anonymous is made up of mostly gamers and younger peeps so why would they shut their own stuff down?
