The map reveals some of the largest fjords or ice cut channels on Earth,

With the new radar technology. I can't wait to see what, if anything is under that ice.

I bet they find a UFO with a hidden parasitic organism that takes over it's hosts and has to be killed with a flame thrower. Sorry, I loved the Thing. Seriously I think this is awesome, I would love to know whats under there but at the same time it would have to recede at an amazing pace for me to find out in my lifetime.

Sorry about the lack of information available.

I thought the Radar technology was interesting.

I did not post it as news. Just something interesting.

I am still learning how to post here.

The belly of Antarctica has given up a little more of its mystery. Survey data taken across a great swathe of the east of the white continent has allowed scientists to map the shape of the bedrock buried deep under the ice. It reveals in new detail a huge trough hundreds of kilometres long that is cut by fjord-like features. Researchers tell Nature magazine that this hidden landscape was probably moulded by the action of glaciers more than 14 million years ago. This was a time when Antarctica was only part way through acquiring the extensive ice covering we know today.
