Adam Pearlman is not just used by David Neiwert on the crooksandliars website. In their quest for gun control more than 600 mayors have jumped ship. They use this phony videos to convince Congress to pass the Fix Gun Checks Act of 2011 and the Denying Firearms to Dangerous Terrorists Act of 2011.

Amusingly, even the anchorman seemed at first to take the Adam Gadahn video for a fakery. A quick and vigorous appeal to authority was enough to convince him otherwise.
