okay don't laugh now...

but in thinking with the race theme...

what about nascar ?

Fast are him - - they drive fast, most are men.

Ten Off - this year in nascar only the top 10 drivers race for the championship

onto the hour -- they get one hour of practice the day before a race

fast for hope roaring anew - ???

age quick as the dour era -- ??

Fear upon high ---

and seated tests - of course they drive sitting down...

I don't know just a thought.

I tried taking the first letter of each of the words that start each of those sentances...

F T O T A F A

15 words can be found... nothing jumps out at me...

aa at fa of ta to

aff aft fat oaf oat off oft tao

toff

Propably the words are just in wrong order. Although I haven't found the right order I think it's about "the ten tests".

Bull riding, Polo, cycling, motorcycling....

A seated test.................... Rereading it I dont think it is nessarly a "race" in the a speed test term.

The first thing to pop into my head is Lance Armstrong and the "Tour de France", although I don't know how that would fit.

Here we go folks....

Maybe a test pilot with a countdown?

The dour era = The harsh era... hmmmmm

I wonder if this is one of those clues that depics the entire stage of the ring hunt. Maybe we should just be focusing on the first line at this point...I dont know just a thought! Good luck everyone this is starting out to be a great hunt.

Its odd I ruled this out from the start... Then I did a search... All the searches came up with the top ten racers.... lance being first.

New to the rings but this sounds like a motocross race , 10 riders only go to the main.

This is first time I looked at this hunt =). This sounds like the U.S. Space Shuttle.

Edit
After further review I decided this could also be man to to moon missions (apollo program) instead of Shuttle.

10 Manned Apollo missions actualy went to the moon.

I did find something interesting and curious. I did a boolean search for dour and era. I set the parameters from the "beginning" and "thread posts", what came back is strange to say the least. There are several members that have the new message included in their old posts. I checked other posts by these members and the message isn't in their other posts, so it seems to be exclusive to certain posts. I don't know if this is some glich in ATS or not. Any ideas?

Here's an example:

Thats what we are looking for start tracking all the threads that have those it might mean we need to plug the thread numbers into deep. Great work!

I followed enaxor's clue and found out that the thread numbers don't work on deep. I didn't find anything interesting in those threads exept in thread 7769 number 4 was after the message and in thread 8844 the message was inserted 12 times. Anybody got ideas?

Ernhardt Jr. I've got a feeling about him with this.
Could be dead wrong ... but what do you think?
Fast for hope roaring a new....

Fear upon high (his dad died on the test track ... didn't he?)
