WHy should he resign??!!

Yes. Why should he resign?

AH maybe because he is a political leader and this is not a good role model for a polictical leader to assert of lying.

He was never elected to the position of role model. He has been voted into office by the people he represents. Shouldn't they decide if he stays in office? Just because you do not like him as a role model for your kids, maybe you should be one instead of looking outside for one.

What does it say to the country that we accept liars and people who have very little integrity.

Busness as usual. Where you been?

Weiner is now holding a press conference and has admitted to inappropriate messages and photos. So much for integrity. Time to step down. I would expect a resignation from anyone in his position regardless of political bend.

That suits him perfectly to resign and get a job at CNN, just like Spitzer did.

Second line, much mirth.

I know what your saying that thi sis not the first politician to lie but htis is alittle bit different then someone saying I am not going to raise taxes and then later on they raise taxes. This is a little bit different from that.

No, they broke LAWS. You know the difference don't you?

What were the 11 articles of impeachment against Johnson about? The main one was the Tenure of Office act for booting Stanton. Had nothing to do with lying. They were crimes.

Nixon was never impeached at all but he did cover up a break-in which is a crime.

Bill Clinton lied - under oath. That is a crime.

0 for 3.

What crime did AW comit?

Yes, yes it is. I actually give a flying f*** if they raise or lower taxes.

I could care less who they send shirtless photos to or have phone sex with.

Your concern lies in a very different place.

Just lying? Show me the charges. You seem to need to review them. I am actually in quite a bit of shock that I need to explain the difference between lying about sending shirtless photos and breaking and entering.

There is a distinct element in politics from town council all the way to capital hill that is highly prone to over confidence for lack of a more appropriate term. Perhaps you could call it abuse of power and the notion that they will never get caught etc. These folks surround themselves with "yes" people who rarely challenge them or make them think twice about their comments or actions.

As for Weiner, he is no different than Clinton, Spitzer, Edwards and many others... They all lie just long enough for the truth to catch up to them or in some cases little blue dresses.

Weiner is a fool for playing games in the manner that he did especially in the social media avenues that he chose. How he could possibly think that this would never come to haunt him is beyond me. Narcissism is a tricky disorder.

My suspicions as stated previously in this thread were wrong. I'm obviously no fan of the scum ball, Breitbart, his sleazy tactics and his truly vile cohorts and hardcore pornography buff pals (formerly) on Twitter but at least much of what he published and stated was true. Weiner is a truly a dick and a fool. I was wrong.

Well you have to admit,Weiner learned from the best or maybe Weiner taught Clinton how to be a whore or maybe, never mind you cant really know what is going on in the Clinton click without a program.

The news says Breitbart has a photo that he is saveing for a rainy day.I always question statements like that but no matter what Weiner is a Slickwillie prodigy and like most all Democrats he will slid on his belly out from under this go on to spew more retoric about how others are corrupt and bad politicians, this is the way of the progressive left.

So when he admits to lying to his constiuents that is okay with you?? I think that is th eone thing that should disqualify you. And I just heard wolf Biltzer say he lied to me.

An investigation must be conducted before charges are brought.

I heard the FBI refused the case so we'll see.

Using gov't issued property could be a crime. Depends what is on the computer and what was actuallly sent.

Then you have the people that rec'd the WeinerGate stuff- (ages etc).

Just because he came out crying doesn't mean it is the end.

10 to 1 his wife leaves him in less than a year. Look at the photo on Drudge-she already looks like she didn't want to be there-with him.

For the record, I didn't expect him to resign... Bill Clinton is his role model--so....

Damn liberal and their media control.

John Ensign Refuses To Resign

I remember this happening to very little coverage and no outcry from the right. What does this say about the "liberal" media that they have been all over this one? I find it an odd paradox. Hey, he admitted to his personal issues and is leaving it up to his constituents to not vote for him again. Eh. When it comes to adult, consensual sex, and you are not actively passing laws that pertain to that adult, consensual sex, I do not really care about it. I do have a problem with how he handled it. I think he has shot himself in the foot and his only option was to come back and cut the foot all the way off. His state will decide what to do with him.

Why should I or you tell his constituents how to feel? I am willing to bet they worry more about him lying about taxes than they worry about who he flirts with online. You worry about you.

I think that is th eone thing that should disqualify you. And I just heard wolf Biltzer say he lied to me.

Oh, didya?
Wolf feels lied to, Tony's gotta go? Tell Wolf not to vote for him then.

I don't know what to think,

So the wife knew he has had these sort of online relationships in the past, icky,

I do feel sorry for him, how humiliating, maybe it will make him a better person,

Should he resign?

I have mixed feelings.

What "case?" Are you serious? A guy lies about flirting with women and you want him investigated for the crime in that? Sounds like some small government you are peddling there that you want a man investigated for flirting online. What crime do you think there is there?

Using gov't issued property could be a crime. Depends what is on the computer and what was actuallly sent.

I have yet to see anything concerning that? Wasn't part of the problem that they could not link the photo's exif data to his government issued blackberry? Chris Lee used his blackberry and that is why he got caught redhanded right out of the gate. You worred about him going to jail?

Then you have the people that rec'd the WeinerGate stuff- (ages etc).

Ages? What are you talking about? Why do you think age is an issue? Why do you people want to make him a child molestor so bad? What evidence do you have that he had any kind of age-innapropriate relationship?

Just because he came out crying doesn't mean it is the end.

Obviously it is not the end. He refused to resign.

10 to 1 his wife leaves him in less than a year. Look at the photo on Drudge-she already looks like she didn't want to be there-with him.

Why would I even care if his wife likes him or not? I have never voted for anyone based on how they get along with their spouse. I do not care.

For the record, I didn't expect him to resign... Bill Clinton is his role model--so....

Thanks. I will be sure to record that.

I am not teling his constituents how to feel. I am guess ing and hoping that they do not want to be lied to like most good people. and furthermore we will never get anywhere in this country if we say hey it is okay to lie about this or that. It is just a couple pictures online and a couple relationships online. NO it is about some one in his position that has to have accountibility and transparency.
