Man, that picture shows a lot and tells even more. Great post.

Now, as time passes, more comes out. You folks saying forget about it... etc. Example: Today it is learned the cat played while the mouse was away. This is a perfect example of why some may not want to be so quick to defend this man.

Time is needed to cross-reference and track things/leads down. Just because Mr. Weiner says it's a done deal-forget about it-move along-my wife and I will deal. etc. All the evidence relevant to the matter needs to be reviewed. Then he can finish crying and start begging for more forgiveness.

Weiner & wife Huma worlds apart: Snake slithers when Huma is globetrotting with Hillary.

Kinky Congressman Anthony Weiner conducted several of his steamy online sessions while his better half was out of the country, records show. As the "body woman" to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, Huma Abedin is tasked with accompanying the former first lady on diplomatic globetrotting missions. Weiner, it seems, uses the timing of her foreign affairs to pursue domestic ones online.

For instance, last month, while Abedin and Clinton were in Rome meeting with Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, Weiner was chatting up Texas nursing student Meagan Broussard. As Abedin aided Clinton during the two-day effort to talk strategy with international partners on how to protect civilians in Libya, Weiner sent Broussard photos of himself with two cats.

On March 16, while Nevada Democratic volunteer Lisa Weiss says he was sexting with her on Facebook, according to RadarOnline.com, Abedin was with Hillary Clinton visiting Egypt and Tunisia, federal records show.

At each stop, while Weiner discussed whether Jewish women were adept at performing oral sex, Abedin helped Clinton consult with government officials and elements of civil society on recent events in the Middle East and the full range of regional and bilateral issues.

She may consider dumping him. She is still young enough to find a Good Man who won't "social media cheat" on her-or worse (as we have yet to be fully convinced he didn't do more or worse things).

Anthony Weiner: Partisans Take to Internet to Rip News Media Over Alleged Biases

With Rep. Anthony Weiner, D-NY, it’s mostly Republicans who are griping about the liberal media. The complaints are falling into four major categories:

1. Major media outlets ignored the story when it broke last week.

2. Journalists uncritically reported Weiner’s tale that his Facebook and Twitter accounts were hacked, which he admitted Monday was a lie.

3. The media was more interested in attacking the messenger – Andrew Breitbart – than it was in reporting the sexually provocative photo the married congressman tweeted to a 21-year-old college woman.

4. Media pundits were softer on Weiner than they were on Republicans who were caught in sex scandals, like Chris Lee, John Ensign, Larry Craig, David Vitter and Mark Foley.

In Category 4, some, like Barbara Walters on The View, even worked out theories to excuse Weiner.

After noting that Weiner’s beautiful wife is chief of staff to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and, therefore, travels a lot, Walters said this: “It may be that he took that picture and sent it to his wife to say, ‘this is how much I miss you.’”

I have been around this forum long enough to watch many members slam everything conservative, and the Palin bashing is especially mean spirited, My opinion of the left is that they are mean spirited, and vicious,

Just an observation,

I think the real issue here, and question is,

Why is the MSM so in the tank for the left?

Would make a good conspiracy topic

Its better than the AZZ-RAPING that the Republicans LITERALLY give the middle-class folks in this country.

Awww...did it hurt your feelings?

I dont care who it is. All politicians are crooked. Dems dont pay for it or pay for it using Tax Payer's money...Republicans pay for it using their hefty bank balance (as a good capitalist is expected to have one).

This thread reads like a discussion of the lastest episode of a soap opera. And in effect, thats all it is. A soap opera. This is all Hollyweird folks. They're all actors in a play for the benefit of the serfs. There is no left or right. This whole fiasco, like all previous fiasco's involving politicians, celebrities, royalty, and others, is nothing more than stage magic to get our focus off one hand, so we're not paying attention to what the other hand is doing. They orchestrate our thoughts and arguments with this kind of garbage so we don't start thinking for ourselves.

They're all criminals. On both sides. These are the people who make the rules they don't have to follow. These are the people who serve 2-4 years and are guaranteed retirement and free healthcare for the rest of their lives. These are the people who oppress you, spy on you, tax you, fee you, fine you, and invade you daily with their nanny police state, and propaganda. Who see themselves as superior to you. Not one of them cares anything about the people of this country any more than what it takes to keep the scam going.

There is no discussion as to whether any of them are good or bad, ethical or not ethical. Angels or evil. The very word politician is synonymous with grifter.

There are scumbags on both sides of the aisles and they should ALL have their feet held to the fire when they get caught in a scandal. I make no excuses for any of them regardless of their political party. If they are incapable of being faithful to their own wives and families how can we expect them to loyally govern their constituents who they do not even have a personal relationship with?

As long as we keep lowering the bar and excuse unethical and inappropriate behavior we will continue to put scumbags in office. I don't see how anyone can conscientiously defend this man.

Do you know the ages of the women he sent pictures too or talked dirty to? Does he?

Were any of these women married? If so, did his disregard the sanctity of someone else's marriage cause any lasting damage? In this sense he has also betrayed his own constituents.
He seems only concerned for his own well being....sorry that he got caught.

I doubt he has given a second thought to whether or not he has caused any emotional damage to the women and their potential families.

I have no further use for such a man.

Funny, I was just read in a Palin thread, seems one of the more vocal posters chastising and lecturing people on this topic about opinions on Weinergate, doesn't have a problem bashing Palin,

I don’t want this and all the anxiety that comes with it. I was worried that all of my personal messages and photos were going to come out, and so I came forward. I just hope to be left in peace.

Get that popcorn ready because it sounds like you are really going to enjoy watching these women be destroyed personally in the reach to get more salacious details about Anthony's private life.

You seem waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too eager to hunker down and get more details about the woman that wants to be left alone.

And you seem "way too eager" to spend all day and night defending Weiner for actions most would consider indefensible.

Maybe a little too eager, if you get my point. Could you possibly be part of Weiner's staff, or in some other way employed by Weiner? If so, there are definitely ATS rules against that. ...

Just saying ...

What I find crazy about all of this is that depending on the political party, the outcome is radically different.

Democrat: People complain, the party doesn't demand his resignation, he gets reelected, or a spot on MSNBC.
Republican: People complain, his party demands he resigns, he resigns in disgrace.

There is a double standard. My more liberal friends say that since Republicans claim to be the party of "family values" and claim to uphold the more traditional standards of morals and ethics, that they should be dealt with more harshly when they screw up. It does make it easy to expose their hypocrisy....Newt is a good example.

It's too bad that we don't demand the same high level of ethics from all our politicians regardless of party.

Many Democrats were fighting tooth and nail to defend Clinton, even claiming that character doesn't matter, but when Newt got caught cheating on his wife, they were demanding his head...figuratively speaking.

Nothing more than a perceived and contrived difference to give the impression and illusion of choice to the masses who still buy into the con. IMHO.

Now we have the aid of polygraphs and the internet, we will be able to enlist much more honorable (but likely less useful) representatives in their place.

Bolding mine.

I've felt the same way about the more honorable representatives (for many years now), they have been complacent indeed. Those old school stagnant representatives are getting mowed over or bought and paid for currently.

Weiner became complacent, lost his groove. He fell on the same knife he used on others.

Todays political arena is a kill or be killed sport. He was on the toughest meanest team but now that he's given the other team good reason to get ahead, his brother's and sister's are now mowing him over.

The "cause" is more important and no one is exempt.

His exhibitionist fetish took control instead of common sense.

I will defend him to the same extent as his wife defends him! To-date, I've heard nothing coming from her mouth.
A cheat lies and a lier cheats, he is not worthy of being trusted to walk my cute (Democrat) doggie!

LITERALLY??? If so, then these republicans should be arrested for sexual assault. Do you have any evidence of these alleged attacks?

Or were you trying to make a point by using a metaphor in an imperative, expletive manner to draw attention to something you find heinous?

And, for the record, I'm not republican or democrat.

I love how Mr. Weiner gets caught showing his wiener.

But really, what is with all of these politicians trying to cover up their tracks and finding an excuse or scapegoat to get out of a scandal when they're caught with their pants down, sometimes literally? These kind of people get elected into office. These kind of people represent the citizens. Yet all they do is reveal how they're capable of getting into trouble and lying about it just like the next person.

My question is, despite being held to a higher standard, are politicians actually capable of being something more than mundane?

and to follow your great post...

Weiner Told Porn Star to Lie

Congressman Anthony Weiner instructed one of his Internet women how to lie about their relationship ... and even offered PR help from his team, which could create major legal issues for him
[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/91a0d91824a6.jpg[/atsimg]

Weiner and former porn star Ginger Lee exchanged scores of sexual emails over a long period of time. When the underwear scandal broke on May 28, Lee began receiving calls from the media, and Weiner was more than happy to help her control the situation ... by lying.

On June 2, Weiner emailed Lee, "Do you need to talk to a professional PR type person to give u advice? I can have someone on my team call. [Yeah, my team is doing great. Ugh]." It's unclear if Weiner's PR team is from his Congressional staff. If so, Weiner could run afoul of House Ethics Rules as well as the law.

Weiner put on a full court press, urging Lee to lie about their relationship. On June 1, he emailed her: "The key is to have a short, thought out statement that tackles the top line questions and then refer people back to it. Have a couple of iterations of: 'This is silly. Like so many others, I follow Rep. Weiner on Twitter. I don't know him and have never met him. He briefly followed me and sent me a dm saying thank you for the follow. That's it.'" Weiner suggested a nice touch -- some good ol' Southern charm: "And then maybe insert some y'alls in there."

By-the-way. Has anyone else noticed that the supporters/defenders of Lover Boy have pretty much disappeared?

I agree with your statements! It's very hard to trust someone when they have proven to be untrustworthy.

But where we have issues is if we void one's ability to serve the public based on this particular issue, we in effect leave ourselves with almost no one to vote into office. Take a look at these stats:

Percentage of marriages where one or both spouses admit to infidelity, either physical or emotional: 41%
Percentage of men who admit to committing infidelity in any relationship they've had: 57%
Percentage of women who admit to committing infidelity in any relationship they've had: 54%
Percentage of men and women who admit to having an affair with a co-worker: 36%
Percentage of men and women who admit to infidelity on business trips: 36%
Percentage of men and women who admit to infidelity (emotional or physical) with a brother-in-law or sister-in-law: 17%
Percentage of marriages that last after an affair has been admitted to or discovered: 31%
Percentage of men who say they would have an affair if they knew they would never get caught: 74%
Percentage of women who say they would have an affair if they knew they would never get caught: 68%

Ok, so not only is the pool of people able to get into office in the current paradigm already very small, based on your's and other's criteria we would effectivly rule out up to 80% of the rest of the population!

In the end, we can agree...but to what end? If we set the bar this high, there will be no one to rise above it! We are shooting ourselves in the foot.
