Is this the Sun? (I have my doubts because of the speed which this light goes on and also because it seems to fade away before being hidden by Earth)

I recorded this from the live ISS stream.

or watch it at www.nasa.gov...

Author's comments on youtube about time lapse and video sped-up:

did you time-elapse this? I dont think the sun moves this fast. What happened here? Did a stargate open up?

its the sun, there must be some reflection or a maneuver to explain the quick flashes.

Well if the author openly admits that the video is sped up, then I'm almost certain that it is just the sun passing by.
Plus is definitely looks like the sun lol

"Sped up but not time lapse". Say what?

Sheilaaliens is a nutcase. Filming airplanes and calling them UFOs.

It fades away because the ISS blocks it right before it goes behind earth. Notice how also the ISS becomes completely dark after is goes behind earth. Because it is then officially night time! Sun is down
